    LMAO...

First. It's a message board buddy, we're not exactly in the wild west here, I'm not afraid to reply, unlike you, who did not come back at all into that thread once word got out that Morey was pursuing Butler, yet again.

Second, he said declining athletically, not overall. There's definitely a difference. Like i pointed out before, as players age their athletic ability decreases, but their IQ increases. Therefore there's a mid point where a player has significant athletic ability left AND has collected significant IQ , this is where a player is at their overall best. It would be foolish of me to say Butler is the same athlete he was 8 years ago, but it was also foolish of you to say he's declining overall.

Third, Its one guys opinion. He may have more knowledge than the average fan, but he also never said he believed this was the case. He said some inside the league think it is, all he did was try to use it as a reason for his inconsistency, which could also be due to the new system in Washington, which others around the league also think is causing his inconsistency. There's some aroudn the league that think tmac is done, yet we hear others say he still has game. both have good arguments, but just like with butler, its too soon to tell.

Ok so the thinking around the league is that Caron Butler is declining but RV6, professional talent scout, thinks he's still at his peak so that must be the truth.

maybe they still plan on flipping him, could be why they finalized the deal this past week ..enough time to get it approved monday, if it's not already, and then pull another traded prior to the deadline.

uh, as far as i know the league has several coaches, players, owners, etc. It was never specified if ALL coaches, ALL players or ALL GMs thought he was declining. You seem like a smart guy, i would have never thought you'd try to pass it off as if everyone within the league said it.

I even pointed out how the same thing has been said about Tmac, that some around the league though he was done, but it's also been said that many bleieve he's not...Is it that hard to understand?

And please quote where i said he was "at his peak". You're using a statement that was purely describing his athleticism. I'm saying there's a mental AND physical aspect to the game, so he's not declning as a whole, especially when he's learning a new offense this year. I'm not sure how this blog discredits my view. Both can be true genius..

This could very well be true and could also be the most important reason why the Wizards chose Dallas over us.

They simply wanted Howard's smaller expiring contract so they can flip him to another team.

After reading around on some Wizards' boards, almost every Washington fan is heavily in favor of flipping Howard for, say, Q-Rich + Miami's 2010 1st.

The Wizards get a pick, and the Heat show Wade that they are at least trying to make some noise, if only to appease him in the slightest.

But really, what could Washington do with a $23 million expiring? It's damn near impossible to flip that monstrosity.

What I take from this article:

Morey makes a minor move (nothing impactful coming to Houston right now) and we wait until the offseason (w/ McGrady in tow).

    Further predictions

We barely miss the playoffs and go into the lottery.

Maybe try and sign a decent 7ft in the off season.

I'm still shaken up, what the hell are the Suns doing....Really? They are considering this deal? Considering it?

Once Nash bolts from that place it's going to be a while before that team is relevant again.

I PRAY the difference in us not getting Butler/ Haywood didnt come down to us stubbonly refusing to trade C-Bud. Butler was the perfect fit at shooting guard while Buddinger is still a inconsistent rookie.

SIDE NOTE:Is it me or does it seem the chronicle has been the mouthpiece for the organization lately? Every article seems like Morey scripted 95% of it

Doesn't Sarver want to cut budget or something? That's the only thing I can think of.

Yeah but if that was the case of Budinger be the factor for not getting Butler/Haywood I would be happy to keep him. Yes he's an inconsistent rookie but I would keep him to have him possibly become a great scorer in which he shows in brief periods throughout games. Butler and Haywood would be a good fit, but would be a bandage on a sprained ankle. Not going to help the franchise as a whole but bring another great role player to the team. Basically what Adelman told the team that nobody's coming to help them. They aren't getting a play-maker this season so they just gotta keep grinding it out.

It's been a very tough few days for Morey. I mean he's starting to get slack for the way he's handled Tracy, and rightfully so. Now it looks like we're not going to be getting any type of All Star caliber talent in return. Now it appears the best case scenario is trading for more expirings+young talent. This is not the way I wanted things to go down.

After watching McGrady play and most Houstonians, we've seen him play in Houston before DM became GM. We know already, that no team trying to rebuild is going to give up anything for him. He has never lead his team no farther than the 1st round. The facts. The best you'll do with him is a third team willing to remove something to get something they're after - If not by the deadline then to position themselevs for the future. Asking for an superstar or all-star like any article suggest is rediculous.
