I agree with this. They don't do a bad job. They're just not very colorful.

I thought Van Chancellor improved leaps and bounds this season as a color man from the occassions he used to fill in for Calvin. I grew to like the guy and wouldn't mind having him back. That said, I think Calvin's still the best choice for color guy. Bill's good with anybody, but BEST with Calvin.

Bullard is a pretty good analyst, but I think he's a better studio guy than he is a color man. He'd be ideal in Cynthia Cooper's role from last year, in my opinion, but of course he may want to explore other options.

Haggedorn is vanilla but smooth and professional. He's good but certainly not one-of-a-kind like Bill Worrell. He'd be a decent choice to be the studio straight man, but I'd be open to Fox trying out some other folks.

Praise Jesus, the Cynthia Cooper experiment is over!

That MoFo Mark Jackson should NEVER be allowed within 10 miles of Houston. If that guy is ANYWHERE on TV doing Rockets stuff, I promise you me and many others won't watch the telecasts.

Bring CALVIN MURPHY back, that is number one priority. Then, hire a local radio personality or something (May be Rich Lord or someone else. I wouldn't mind Jeff Haggedorn, but no stiff idiots from FSN, they ALL stink!)

I would love to see Bullard in the studio doing half-time, pre-game, and post-game stuff for the Rockets. Him, Jeff, and any third commentator on the Rockets would be good enough for me. Just not Mark Jackson. Or you could just persuade Jon Barry to retire and join the Rockets broadcast team.:D

Exactly! I think most Rockets fans agree with this formula.

The most important thing is to have "Jordan and Scottie" (I mean Bill & Calvin) back together. They are MEANT for each other.:)

3-man announce team. Bull, Bill, Calvin. That's my vote.

That is too many people eating Calvin's cookies, he needs the energy, and those cookies provide it. You can't take away his fuel.

PLUS I have Mcgrady on the other line threatening to demand a trade back to Orlando if Mark Jackson is anywhere near the Toyota Center, or if he has to do interviews with him.

    :p

Calvin was was unfairly screwed because of unfortunate claims that he was eventually vindicated of and for that reason alone he should get his job back. Bullard wasn't impressive to me when he first started but he's made great improvements and definitely worth keeping for Rockets TV. Cooper is finally going, thank God!

They should bring back Calvin and team him up again with Bill Worrel. Also keep bullard and team him up with Hagadorn. If Van want to take Cooper's place that would be great as well. BRING BACK CALVIN !!!

p.s. Thank God that Cooper is gone. I can watch the halftime and post game shows again.

    Awesome, Coop is gone!

That is one hell of a potential "line up". Worrell, Calvin, Bullard, Hagedorn, and Jackson. That would be awesome!

Bill & Calvin back would be the best...definately put Bull in the mix somewhere. Don't really care where though. The Problem is that those Idiots in Irving don't know crap about the Rockets or their past & present commentators. I'm sure that they think their boring Mavs commentators are better. They don't know (or care) about how much Air-bull is loved by Houston Fans. While Calvin's trial didn't really hurt him too much in Houston, the Fox boys will look at that as a stain on his persona, & will wonder what the Big Fox guys in LA will have to say about that. These are the same guys that repeatively push the rockets & Astros down to the last ten minutes of their so-called "award-winning" Southwest Sports Report. right after 2 Mav's stories, Rangers highlights, post & back at the scene in Arlington, some random off-season Cowboys story, and highlights from some TCU or Baylor baseball game. They pay as little attention to Houston as they can get away with. Trust me...I've worked in their studios many times. Hopefully, they won't have that much say in the on-camera talent, or they won't care & will take whoever the Rockets want to use.

Bring Calvin back. He was not found guilty, he should get his job back. He shouldn't lose his job because of being a bad father, that is not a felony. Sad, but not criminal in a court of law.

Marv Albert is back, so I think Calvin deserves a mulligan too.

Calvin Murphy, hands down. I missed him SO much in the past year- He got the short end of the stick. I think the Rockets Orginization owes it to him to give his job back. He has done so much for this team and the city.

As for the others- Bill Worrell is the other ace. All the rest can be replaced. I like Bullard, but he is a bit flat, and would probably do better on the national stage with some coaching. Van Chancelor filled in well, but he's no Murph.

Calvin should be back....although I really got to like Van.
He said some pretty funny sh*t and improved tremendously over the course of the season.

Air Bull is Air Bland. I liked Van way more than Bull and actually
missed that drawl when we were on the road in Dallas for the playoffs.

Alternative if Murph comes back: Put Bull in the studio with Van.... lnstead of Kenny's Movies on TNT...Make it Van's Videos or something for highlights/analysis. Van does good color commentary and can be downright hilarious. He also had really good chemistry with Bill.

Keep Bill Worrell. The guy is fantastic. Any Worrell haters should listen to the straight commentary in other cities....you'll want Bill.

I can't wait for next season and look forward to a productive Off-Season....
