if I was JJ's agent, I would also be T-Mac's agent. And T-Mac wants "athletes only." Anyway i did some checking and the .11 BAC would mean he would have had to have drank about 1.5 beers within an hour of being pulled over, so it's illegal but not exactly sure this degrades character.
if i knew reddick was the next jeff hornacek i'd take him in a second at #8. hornacek was a solid player a good third scorer in utah. sounds like what we could use here and reddick is certainly capable of atleast being that good. measuring out at 6'4" is a huge plus.
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=2356160#post2356160 Guess what" A lot of people have egg on their face that posted in this thread. Turns out Redick is 1 inch shorter than Carney and 2 inches shorter than Brewer, so much for all the 4 or 5 inch difference posts now. Yeah Brewer isn't big enough to really be a legit starting 3 st 6-6 contrary to posts here, and isn't that big eithet at Sg - he's averager, Carney wow a whole inch on Redick gee what an amazing size difference.
Correction Carney is 3/4 an inch taller than Redick and Brewer 1 3/4 inches......... yeah also the NBA rule is you take barefoot height and add 1 1/4" a uniform height for shoes..... That means officially Brewer is "6-7" Carney is "6-6" and Redick is "6-5". Redick is the same height as Bogans and Sura and Barry based on that rule.......... He's not too small for SG.
Admit it you like many others were wrong. You would have passed up all that offense and shooting for 3/4 an inch of height. With Redick being officially 6-5 by league height listing rules there is now little argument against him being the top pick for houston. It's obvious this back thing is a pure smoke screen now.
Wingspan does count for alot though, it enables a player to get a hand on the ball alot easier than a short or average wingspan. You have to admit that. If Carney's and Brewer's wingspan are above average for their height, plus athletic then it becomes more of an advantage and factor than just how tall a player is. I hope Redick isn't injured, after Brewer i wouldn't mind him on the squad.
Brewer's wingspan is 6-11, Roy's is 6-9 as far as what has been reported. Look at the draftexpress link. Carney is actually 6-4.5 barefoot. Carney is half an inch taller than Redick. I'm sorry but at this point anyone willing to take wingspan over Redick's better game doesn't make sense. I don't see how you could possibly rate Carney over Redick now with this half an inch difference in height.
Guys, we can make this work for both sides. Seattle supposedly is selling their #10 pick for cash and a 2007 first rounder. We get that pick and take both Redick and Brewer.
At worst, Redick will be a slightly better Steve Kerr. Right now, with this team, I'd take a Steve Kerr at number 8. If we had had Stever Kerr in his prime, and a healthy Yao and TMac last season, we might still be playing now.
no need. redick might go undrafted if the back surgery rumours turn out to be true. he can be next season's chuck hayes.
Let's not get carried away. Let's assume he does need surgery but he will be fine and ready to go in 4 months (not a T-Mac deal but like Sura had his first year here) which is what the reports are indicating. Ok, with that and with this DUI possibly maybe perhaps might bother a team or two, with that being said the chance Redick went lower than say 15 to 20 range is just very remote. It would be almost unbelievable if he didn't go in the 1st round. 8 and 10 scenario is most likely. Remember Utah picks 14th chicago 16th, and Indiana 17th Not to mention teams like Dallas, SA, Suns, Lakers, Nets there is no way he would be passed on just those first round teams. The back would have to be MAJOR and in that case Houston wouldn't want him anyway so it's a moot point.
Honestly if the Rockets did that and took Brewer 8th and Redick 10th or vice versa dpending on however it was neccessary to get both they would make out huge.
Having a solid shooter would have helped, but no one in their right mind would take Kerr at #8. Even in his prime.
If it's possible to get the #10 from Seattle for cash and the 2007 first rounder, Houston needs to do that ASAP before another team swoops in and does it. Take Brewer and Redick, sign someone good maybe James with the MLE and I am confident even with the current PF situation that this team even with 2 rookies could do major damage.
Bob Sura oand they can re-sign Bogans cheap. BTW if that's your answer to squashing getting both Redick and Brewer then all I can say is thank god you are not running the team.
i'm not against redick being on the team. i do believe he'd be a waste of an 8th pick. i still believe he'll be a liability on defense (see 6-5 jon barry). bob sura could be done. he's as reliable as rookie at this poinr in time, might not even make it off the bench. why wouldn't it make sense to have all your positions guaranteed by a vet present in each?
