    LOL!!....ummm....no

As far as I'm concerned the Chuckster and Failman had better teammates then Hakeem could have ever hoped for.

Those two got to play with KJ and Stockton in their primes.

OK How many rings did they have?

How many rings did Dream get when you put him with 'better teammates' Barkley and Pippen?

I'm starting a new thread. this is ticking me off.

tinman, yes the Rockets were a team. A team that was molded by a great coach who pushed them to be all they could be. But Dream's 94/95 supporting cast wouldn't have even made the playoffs without him!

I know you like Max, and I remember his 2nd half against Phoenix, but he was close to worthless the rest of the playoffs. (And his 3 pointer with over a minute left in game 7 against the Knicks is an underrated moment in Rockets history). Max was a warrior but also was a headcase who abandonded the Rockets the next year because he cared more about his own ego than the team! There is no excuse for that. But I'm glad he did because it helped us come together and win another championship. :D

Pippen and Barkley were past their prime when they came to Houston. Hakeem was even past his prime by the time Pippen came on board.

Redick can't guard guys in college. How is he going to do it in the NBA on one of the least-athletic teams in the league? I think it's a terrible idea, the kind of pick that Dawson and the Rockets always seem to make.

If you look at the best teams in the league, they have guys who are athletes first and foremost with an OK skill set. Then they actually coach them, and these athletes become great players. At least, that's what Phoenix and Dallas have done.

i like reddick, but he's just another steve kerr. he can only be a great shooter and not a great player. if that was our only weakness, id say go for it.

As much as we need a shooter on this team, we need an athlete with size more. Just remember why Dallas beat us last year. Because Finley, Stackhouse and Josh Howard just shot right over our small guards, and Terry was wide open all series long to guard Nowitzki. Stack, Finley and Howard destroyed our small guards. JVG knows he needs size youth and in the backcourt or on the wing.

If the Rockets can secure Harpring with the 4.2 Mil TE. I wouldn't care if they drafted Redick with the no.8 pick.

Redick seems to have that will to succeed, and that desire to prove everybody wrong. Like you guys are doggin on him for being too 1-dimensional, can't guard other players etc. I think he's out to prove you guys wrong like he did in HS and at Duke, which means he can be very hardworking, which is a major plus.

It doesn't really matter if he can't protect Yao.

Umm... SG was not an issue last season. Having Weatherspoon, Bowen, Howard at the PF rotation was an issue.

    Tinman,
Hakeem was THE reason we won those titles, yes he had very good teammates, but no Hakeem and we have no titles, I can tell you that much.

Also the reason he didnt win anything with Scottie and Barkley is because he wasnt in his prime anymore. Hakeem's prime was from the late 80's to about 95, 96 at most. He only got his respect after the titles. Shows you how much the Rockets and Rudy T depended on Hakeem.

Mobley signed a 5-year deal worth $42M dollars, he'll be getting paid nearly $20M for the last 2 seasons in his contract. I don't think he would have signed for the MLE for a team traded him.

He would be a good backup, but not as a starter. And please don't let phoenix get him.
