Tmac and stro arent friends i dont understand how any1 can think that a non athletic player who is one of the worst defensive players in college basketball and got held to 3 points by carney this year is going to be any more than a shorter lattener!
T-mac was quoted that he was going to make Stro an "all-star" and called him to come to Houston. I would call that about the same relationship he has with Carney right now. Held by 3 points? Stop making stuff up to support your "argument".

He means 3 points more than what Carney scored apparently. If you watched that game, it was obvious that their intent was to shut down Redick. He still got 15 on limited shot attempts. While Shelden ate them alive inside. Just replace Shelden with Yao in that scenario since we are moving to the next level and replacing Memphis with the NBA.
Uhh... Who is to say Stro never came to Mac's house? Who is to say Carney doesn't just work out at Mac's house because Chance is there (his teammate)? How the hell do you know they are "REAL" friends?
SO THEN please tell me how a guy who its sad to watch play defense and couldnt get to the basket if he was the only one on the court is going to go ahead of a guy who is a top 3 perimeter defender in the nation and a lights out shooter just to a lesser extent than redick! my point is carneys flaws which he doesnt have many of in his game can be corrected its going to be a tough one to make redick a even decent athlete! And you cant worry so much about carney work ethic when our own tracy mcgrady and even vince carter have been said to have had the same issuses carney is an extremely humble kid and he will be a great pro and a corner stone of this organization for many years to come!

Aparently ive entered the redick fan club im just going to exit out the back door and call it a day because you wont even try and debate me on the issue that carney is almost as good of shooter when open as redick and he plays lock down defense with amazing dunks(not a big issue).
If you actually watched JJ play or check out those highlight videos I posted, there are at least 5 times where he drove in for a layup. Carney is anything but a top 3 perimeter defender, Adam Morrison lit him up in a recent workout and has always lit him up in college. Carney's flaw is his brain and mind, and there are about 9999 players in the game today who share this same flaw and have been labeled as scrubs. Like someone said on here, having a weak mindset is worst than having athletic deficiencies. You are just stereotyping Redick and even Carney because he looks like some players, but in truth will just turn out into a scrub. Like DaDakota said, you can't be this ignorant. That is fine with us, you can take the guy who will be the next Darius Miles, the next Qyntel Woods, the next-no-passion-still-loaded-with-potential-but-is-still-a-scrub-and-still-trying-to-figure-it-out-but-probably-never-will. So 2 can play at this game if i dont have any evidence that carney is a friend of tmac than what evidence do you have redick is a gym rat do you watch him practice? And carney is not as good of shooter as redick but hes not far off and he has other tools!
first and foremost i would be really scared for this team if we don't have some kind of athletic/tall swingman going into next season either from the draft or free agency. i still have too many nightmares of guards abusing are midgets night in and night out. i'm also worried about t-mac's ability to play the entire season. that said i think it's crazy to say we have to be just like dallas or just like phoenix. it's never going to happen simply because we have something they don't: yao ming. i think the closest comparison is miami and they're in the finals with not exactly the most athletic team in the league. i also think a healthy yao>shaq and a healthy t-mac > wade. sometimes i get caught up in trying to improve last years team, rather than looking at it with yao and t-mac actually on the court. i'll definitely be happy with taking reddick certainly over carney but i don't know about brewer. it'd be an easier situation if free agency had already started and we had bonzi wells or mike james in the fold. if we drafted reddick could we afford to sign james? our guard rotation would be: alson/james/head/reddick...ouch defensively. if we take reddick and have plans to get mike james i see no place for luther head on this team. too many ways to go here, good luck to morey/dawson/jvg this offseason....
Hey speak for yourself, I am doing just fine in the size department JK So if we take Reddick (and I hope we do) and sign Mike James as a free agent; what could we get for Luther Head in a trade? Does anyone have any ideas? Could we maybe trade him for another pick? Maybe a later first round or another 2nd round pick? Maybe pick up an extra center? I am just throwing something out there for disscussion's sake.
