OK. Doesn't rebounding and shot blocking make a low post presence?

I do think that something needs to be done with the lineup, change things around, but in no way do I think this team is going to be a lottery pick. It still baffles me on how excited people get over getting the lottery pick to get a rookie that (8 time out of 10) will not be ready to really contribute for 1-2 seasons. No team will tank a season just to put all their effort into a rookie...get over the damn lotter draft, because this team will not be a lottery pick, this team will finish anywhere between 6th-8th in the West. We will more than likely not make it out of the first round, but we will be in the first round. There are too many bad teams out there that will start to downfall after the all star break, and we are only in 9th in the west right now, only half a game back from being tied with the 7th spot. We are doing this with no superstars and we are competing with teams that have at least two, some 3, so we are doing way more than expected and will continue to do so.

I think the hot streak we hit earlier this season was a major curse in disguise. Gave the team and fans false hope. They got cocky and thought T-mac would bring them down. They ended up casting off their best player and lowering his trade value in the process.

Now we are stuck in limbo between rebuild and re-tweak.

Eventually they have to find ways to win close games (against good teams), and they havent done that for a few weeks. Their D is severly lacking right now, and we all know they dont have the offense to out-score everyone.

Yao's rehabilitation has gone well so far. So well, in fact, that he walked into Toyota Center on Wednesday night in a restrictive boot, saw coach Rick Adelman and said, “I've still got time to put my jersey on.”

    Adelman smiled.

    “Don't tempt me.”

    ----

    Yao humor is always appreciated.

Well said and true. I'm hoping his heart doesn't affect a basketball decision.

From the moment Morey knew Yao Ming wouldn't play this season, he has tried to position the franchise as a championship contender for the 2010-11 season.

No he didn't!!!! The Management was so set in taking revenge against
McGrady that he was so hard hearted against McGrady that he would not even give him a decent chance to find out if he be of any value to the team. :p

its such a tricky and difficult decision with the added pressure of the deadline to make a move, there really is no right answer but u dont wana be tied down where u are prevented from makin moves this summer, I say simply stand pat and jus let his money come off the books but it sucks how we wouldnt get any returns productivity wise if thats the case.. idk but these daily weekly rumors of the same topics is gettin exhausting

Dalembert can score, don't forget that so he is lowpost presence. It's not another Mutombo, the guy is a center with moves.

It's time to make a move (by the deadline). Bosh isn't coming here and neither are the other guys. I'm not even convinced Joe Johnson is a better player than Iguodala (and he's certainly older).

It sounds like Yao is still the guy they are planning around so grab Iggy/Dalembert, make as much noise as possible this year and package Dalembert/Battier next season when Yao returns and possibly grab another All Star with their combined expiring deals (total: $19.5 million). Then collect a few Championships (because we all know Yao will never be injured again ;) )

Morey's style is trying to do low-risk operation and bet someone will have return.
He will only do big trade when it is in last minate and no more choice.
He has chance to handle TMac & Yao better but he choose to WAIT.

    AB/Lowry
    Iggy/Wafer
    Ariza/Battier
    Landry/Scola
    Yao/Dalembert

This is if we trade T-Mac and Budinger for Iggy and Dalembert. (and sign Von)

If that isn't a championship team then I don't know what is.

WOW, great article my man, very interesting...

the only great player that would be available next season IMO is Bosh.

we all know that bosh will not be in Toronto next season, only if something strange happens, and even if he doesn't stay in Toronto he might not even look at Houston.

Johnson might stay in Atlanta if they could go deep in the playoff, and quiet frankly I think they'll be in the conference championship this season.

Wade and Lebron both of them might stay in their clubs, I don't think we have a single chance in signing both of them.

So my point is we could have chance in signing Iggy and dalembert, I'll say go for it morey...

It's easy to look good as GM with low risk moves as he's done so far in his stint as GM. All the later Draft steals and good but still cheap trades prove that he is smart dude. But what he does with TMac and the next coming months could really be hit or miss.

Wow. Looks like people are getting on the DM hate bandwagon. This board has come full circle.
