He's a guy that can get real hot but even when he's cold he continue to jack up 3's. For a guy that is athletic as him he should drive a lot more then he did.

Seems to have a little more meat than Batum, hopefully he'll turn out to be the better player. Point is, we got two players who can potentially help the team instead of one.

Yes Johnnie Flynn, I was shocked that he didn't even test the NBA Draft to see where he stock was. Dude is going to be a baller once he gets in the NBA. I love his game.

Thanks for the explanation.I get it now. I think the 54th will go to Memphis. Are we going to get back a 2009 2nd rounder from them in return for the 54th?

my guess is he will be the backup SG/SF behind battier and mcgrady next season, as he fits exactly what they needed at that spot. but yes he is a project in that you won't see his full potential until a few years down the road.

Sounds a lot like a taller JR Smith.

Hopefully he isn't as much of a headcase. And we all know how fast JR Smith can light it up off the bench.

Dorsey measured 6' 6.25" without shoes and 6' 7.25" with shoes. He did weigh 265 lbs though. He's shorter than our starting SG and SF. He's got an 8'11" standing reach. That's crazy long arms. Kevin Love who measured
6' 9.5" with shoes has a shorter standing reach than Dorsey, 8'10". Maybe he can be a better version of Chuck Hayes with shot blocking. His low center gravity will help to keep post players out of the paint, much like Chuck against Shaq.

I am still disappointed in his height.

So, is this confirmed or still speculation? I see the Chron report but it still seems to be up in the air.

oh please...i wish people would quit getting so attached to these one dimensional scrubs.

Greene is way more atheletic than Novak, taller and he can still shoot. The only way for us to get better is to stop depending on these guys who do one thing right and move to more atheletic players who are multi talented.

we got what we wanted plus more than we expected.

it's definately too early to be calling anyone drafted in the late first round a bust.

This works out fine, we can play Greene as a backup SF/PF for now; if Landry asks for too much $$$, Greene can add some more muscle and weight to play PF for us down the road. For this reason we pick up Dorsey to fill in the void left if we let Carl go. Greene has all the potential in the world to become a Rashard Lewis caliber player or better. He just has to develop a better work ethic and be determined to get there. Morey is a genius!!!!!!
