He can not dribble when Chuck is on him. Chuck has quick hands.

that's a good comparison actually, but i'm not sure he's more athletic than a young chuckster.......he could leap and explode back in the day

I don't think Houston's premier interior defense is any type of stamp of legitimacy for Griffin's abilities.

We're talking about Griffin dribbling. His being taller is a negative factor, so is being stronger. Quicker hands? Maybe but it's easier to swat the ball defensively.

I can understand worrying about Kobe going off but what's up with the Blake griffin fear? He looks great as a rookie but unless you're also scared of how out pfs stop amare when we play the Knicks, I wouldn't put any more worry into this game.

Griffin is gonna be Chucked tonight, just like what every offensive big in the league got when they first faced Chuck. He's gonna scratch his head and say, "How the heck did he strip my ball?"

I would impale babies to get Blake Griffin into a Rockets jersey.

Ha, of course Griffin is the real deal.

It isn't like we're the shut-down defense of the league, so we aren't a very good litmus test.

The game plan should be to let Griffin go crazy, while shutting down the other players (Gordon, especially.)

The Clippers LOVE the Davis-to-Griffin alley-oop, so we need to be wary of that.

The real matchup I want to see is Courtney Lee vs. Eric Gordon. Is Courtney Lee the real deal, and is he able to shut down Gordon?

Griffin will challenge Duncan for greatest PF to ever play the game. He is that good. I would literally trade anyone and anything on our roster for him, and would have since he entered the draft. I have been convinced on him since OU.

As for Chuck stopping him...dream on. As soon as Blake gets stripped one time and figures out all he needs to do is catch and elevate, he will get his. What people don't get is that Griffin is more than dunking. He is that, plus handles, plus a stepback post J, plus incredible rebounding. He is a force of nature.

BTW, I hope we ponder, tamper, and do whatever it takes to get him on our team once he leaves the Clip Joint. He would instantly make this team relevant and contenders at that point.

I'm pretty sure anyone would pose if they pulled off any of his top-ten dunks. If you just slammed one on top of Mozgov's dome, wouldn't you?

That said, I'm predicting he'll add 2-3 more posters with the Rockets as props.

He sure does, wish he was posing for those cameras in a Houston Rockets jersey.

Better yet, wish we had someone that could dunk.

    ;)

Until he learns how to play defense like Duncan, he will be at Amare's or Chuck's level. Still pretty damn good but not Duncan. Duncan anchor's the Spur's defense.

No disagreement on that. This is where I think it is CRUCIAL for him to go to a great organization after he leaves the Clippers (assuming he isn't stupid enough to stay there). He needs structure and great coaching around him...someone that will hold him accountable on the court for both O & D. Can you imagine him under the wing of Pop or Phil or even Larry Brown or Thibodeaux or JVG? Scary.

I just hope that this doesn't happen to Chuck. I think Chuck would foul him before he did this to him, but Griffin will get his, no doubt. Anyone who think he won't get 25-30 pts and 10-15 rebs just watch the game tonight. Griffin will turn all you haters into believers.
