wasn't meant as a snide remark in any way......was pretty clear you thought JT was trash from the time we drafted him until maybe his game against the fakers end of this past season

I didn't think he was trash, I thought he had a low BBall IQ.....and he does......but I have seen bits of improvement.

I don't get the Von Wafer thing. You can't really compare a journey man who had his game refined somewhere else to someone who was drafted by us (bought with the pick) and developed by our coaching team

that's not true DD, you said he was stupid immediately after watching his post-draft interview.......you didn't even wait to see him on-court to grade his BBall IQ before judging him......like many here i didn't like several of his possessions the past few games, notably his defensive rebounds and then coast-to-coast drives without even letting a teammate touch the ball...

must say i've been disappointed with chase's past 2 games as well.....aside from the countless missed open jumpers, he's shown very little leadership out there....as the guy who logged the most minutes for our team last season you would think he'd look to impact the game a little more.....but we still have a couple more games for him to get things together

Hey now, I am trying to be politcally correct here with the term low BBall IQ...

    ;)

Even Taylor said "thinking the game is not my thing"........

Agreed on Chase, I think he is coasting a bit, but not much for him to prove in the summer league honestly.

Coasting for 3 quarters of a game is a very bad habit. If only Chase had the drive to succeed in every game he would be about leaps and bounds better and would be the starting SF for the foreseeable future. Reality is another
He defers to much.....just like they say about Patterson...to become a STAR player... a real DIFFERENCE maker---there is still enough time though
thats the main difference in mentality as opposed to Brooks
    the swagger

We were down against the Mavs... with JT, the other one...in the house.... Anyone competitive would want to shut that dork up by showing up actually.....

    You heard him say.....

Chase was the key in the 4th quarter, his rebounding and quick outlet passes led the team from behind.

I am not looking for Chase to be anything more in the summer league games.

Nothing to prove there for him.

thats not the point..you know what I am talking about
to have the potential to score 28 or 35 in any given game like a certain guy named Rodrigue Beaubois

I guess you are satisfied with a super role player. Well, yes its not bad

there are other players in the SL of similar level to chase (ie. jerebko, thornton, beaubois, harden) who have not been coasting. and this has been the rap on chase during his bball career. but let's hope that he's just the robert horry type of coaster who only wakes up in the playoffs ;)

I am not a fan of it, but I think he has been ASKED by the coaches to work on other things...they are not running any curls or pin downs for him this year......

I am sure all of you noticed that though, right?

    ;)

Taylor has improved in those two areas that you mentioned.

    Good comeback at DD.

Seriously, there is little to nothing to complain about Taylor's play so far. He has been oustanding. Ask the coaching staff.

DD can't walk and chew gum at the same time but he's qualified to critique Jermaine Taylor's entire lifetime of basketball achievement.
