its more reasonable that assuming we are going to get pryzvilla . i also read that some people want mbeng which would be the worst signing of all time.

Hayes will put up better #'s but there will be times this season when they need a shotblocker. The Rockets have non, Theo can still block shots

When the dust settles, not offering Gortat the full MLE is going to be Morey's biggest mistake this Summer.

    Completely agree.

    What's with the Ratliff hate?

there are exactly 0 worthwhile centres in free agency who are available for the vets minimum (or thereabouts). Signing Ratliff brings in a big guy who can play 15 minutes a night, has never averaged under a block a game (often in less than 15 minutes) and isn't too shabby on the boards.

Frankly, of the unrestricted FA Cs out there who would cost half the MLE or less, I think Ratliff is the BEST option - none of the others are starters, or look like ever developing into starters.
Everyone knows what Ratliff can do - and we need someone who can block shots. The equation seems pretty simply
particularly if it's for a backup guy!!

Ok so let me understand something.

    We desperately need a C.

Everyone available through FA has been knocked around this board to a eventual no.

Everyone through trades (realistic) has been knocked around to a no.

So now that FA and realistic trade scenarios are nullified, you guys would have us with Scola at the C.

Lets get real. We have a gap to fill. With so little options of availability.

If he changed his name to Deke you would all be creaming yourselves.
