Memphis is a different team different situation.

Maybe they really wanted their #2 pick and they had a lot of offers and didn't trade it because they valued it.

Minny on the other hand may be forced to trade Rubio.

Minnesota doesnt have to force anything for the next 2-4 years. As their GM said, theyre not contending and dont have to rush or force anything with Rubio. Now say, if Rubio isnt there with 3 years then yeah, they may be forced to trade him. OR if they feel right now that he'll never come over to play for them, then I could see them trading him now. Other than that, I dont think they move him unless "blown away" by an offer.

But if the rumors are true that he doesn't want to play there then he just won't play there. Yeah maybe 2 years he'll be ready to play and get over picking and choosing where he wants to go but at the same time, his stock is extremely high right now because of potential. 2 years and little to no improvement and everyone's not so hot on him anymore.

Yeah true. They may end up moving him but I personally dont think so. Their new GM seems to know what hes doing in the early going despite picking up 4 PGs(though traded 1 away.)

I thought the same thing but someone brought up a good point yesterday, Battier was a JVG player(which JVG was the coach when we got him) and Gay would be a offensive player, which Adelman likes. It sounds kinda stupid but is somewhat true.

Why trade for Rubio....Whiner needs to get with it and play for the team that drafted him.

This guy is all hype. He has no offense besides passing. Terrible that a 5th pick is demanding a trade.

Note to Rubio: This isn't Spain my friend and your not the best player on your team. Get with the program.

So it looks like Morey offered Battier, Landry, & Brooks for No. 2 & Gay?
Why didn't the Grizzlies bite? :(

So, it was a Battier for Gay straight-up trade? I think there was this Rubio guy being the primary target... you know, the same Rubio guy he's still chasing with Minny?

Surprising. I would have guessed Morey was more of a Dorsey kind of guy.

i hope ricky rubio comes to the rockets.

    trade
tracy mcgrady, aaron brooks and landry for amare stoudamire and leandro barbosa.

we try to get rid of brian cook in one of these trades.

then we sign and trade wafer, give them brent barry and someone we picked up this draft and/or a future pick for rubio

    so our line-up would be

    Pg rubio/lowry
    Sg Barbosa/artest
    Sf battier/artest/stoudamire
    Pf Scola/Stoudamire/Dorsey
    C Yao/Hayes

THIS SOUNDS LIKE A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM
