I threw in landry and the 2nd rounder because we need to make our offer better than knicks and while they dont need landry he is still a valuable trade piece
no matter what happens Rubio would be nice to have...if we don't get him...I love Brooks anyway. I doubt we can get Rubio...if we do great. I know to never count out Mr. Morey.
Actually, I think Battier+Brooks(or lowry) will be enough. Battier is the player that they need. But, I don't know whether we should give Battier away.
they dont need battier, he makes too much for them to just use as "veteran leadership" and keep on the bench, and if they play him then that slows down the progress of their young guys because they dont get big minutes..
yeah but one is cold and the other is very cold, to someone who hates the cold, i dont think it makes a difference....
A player can become a better shooter. Magic Johnson, albeit an all-time great, is a prime example of this.
From the Dream Shake http://www.thedreamshake.com/2009/6/26/926098/could-ricky-rubio-be-traded-to-the
Kenny Smith was not a good point guard, he was a terrible point gurad, he was a good three point shooter and that's about it. Sam Cassel was a good point, John Lucas was a good point.
I trust Morey, too. I feel like he is a really good evaluator of talent. Did you see Rubio in the Olympics? He played well against Chris Paul. I know that's only one example, but too many people that I respect are raving about him. The play making, size, experience while still being really young and one-on-one defense are intriguing.
They don't have enough wing players right now. So, there is no 'minutes' issue. btw, you think Battier only can offer "veteran leadership"?
For anyone doubting this kid you need to know that this guy is a franchise player. At this age leading the Spain team to a silver medal is no joke. The kid is a comboination of CP3 and Steve Nash. This guy is going to be the best point guard in the NBA within 2-3 years
I was referencing the market rather than the weather. I think Rubio would deal with the cold in order to play in NYC.
I think all the hype has obscured Rubio's true potential. He doesn't strike as having the potential to score at the clip as Paul or Deron but I think he has the potential to develop along the same vein as a Steve Nash. I think he will become a quality distributor, more than adept at running a quality offense. He could develop into more but I don't think he develop into something less.
