Plus you would have insurance on him to handle the cost of a lot of his contract should he suffer a career ending injury.
I'm not so sure. It would depend on how much Minn would want David Lee. If they like him then yeah. Plus Minn would want the 8 pick New york made.
I feel the blazers may get Rubio. They have good wing players that the TWolves want. And, they really need a good pg. The only issue is that they may prefer a vet pg since they are a young team and failed in playoffs because of their inexperience.
First off, NYK has more to offer. Chandler, Nate Rob, Lee and Hill. Secondly, Minny would rather trade him out of conference, rather than to somebody in the same division me thinks
he was what, first in double doubles last year? I think they're higher on him than any package we could possibly put together that don't include Yao or Artest
they got mills in the draft, not a super point, but he probably will fit well with them and they didnt give up their talent for him..
2 rookies, a guy that backed up Scola...who Lee outperformed, and draft picks? NY will give Minn. whatever the hell they want to get Rubio I bet.
if his mom really has that much of a problem living in a cold climate, why would he want to go to NY? If its that big of an issue he'll force a trade to a southern team....i wouldnt be surprised if miami tried to get in on this...
They have enough PFs, they don't need Landry. I think Battier + Brooks + a 1st rounder will be enough. But, I am not ready to give Battier away. I really wish our new picks can perform well in this summer league so that we can trade them instead Battier.
Rubio reminds me of that Livingston kid, great passer, so-so shooter, thin as a toothpick. I don't know if Rubio will pan out in the NBA. I haven't seen him play enough. But as a Rockets fan, I always drool over PGs who has amazing court vision. Have we ever had a great passing PG since John Lucas got caught with cocaine? That's more than 20 years! Let me say this. Rubio, if traded to the Rockets, has a better chance to be the best playmaker of our team next season than Tracy McGrady does. Okay, that does not say much. The point is, outside of T-Mac, we have zero playmaking talent. I thought Brent Barry could be one, but he's finished. Maybe Lowry will be good enough, but he doesn't look like he is something really special. Brooks has yet demonstrated he has the court vision to be a great playmaker. Ultimately, if the rumor of Morey being very high on Rubio is true, then I think there must be something the Rubio critics don't see on the surface. I trust that Morey is not the kind of GM that would fall for media hype, or non-hype.
honestly the fact that nobody on NY is unattainable for Minn. should be a plus in getting a deal done... I guarantee you that the Knicks are going crazy trying to get Rubio in NY...rumors have been all over tons of NBA publications etc. since last night about it I know rumors are just rumors...but that's all we're working with as well.
