How can he be compared to Brent Barry? Nothing left in the tank? He's just getting off of his rookie contract.
It's been brought up at least 3 times in this thread. Anyways, I like this signing. Gives us more selection when it comes down to making cuts. Hopefully McCants shows a bit more consistency this season.
Taylor and maybe Dorsey will probably be in the D-league, maybe even Budinger.... I think McCants and Pops have a legit chance because they are NBA players already. It just seems that all of these moves are for a faster paced team...and there are players that are from the old guard that may not fit. I think Morey has something going. DD
So, if Morey is retooling the roster to fit a faster pace, how would the team respond when Yao returns 2010-2011? Unless Yao somehow becomes capable of playing that style, I don't know how doing away the "old guard" would work. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just concerned about how the team seems to be changing it's playing style for one season. Once Yao returns, it's gonna be like nothing ever happened? I don't know, maybe i'm being over-analytical. I have no idea how controlling basketball tempo or play styles actually works.
your personal opinion does not translate to probably.......i am not a fan of dorsey's game at all, but even i won't discount the chance he might crack the rotation before seeing what he does in training camp
Would be extremely surprised if Chase or Jermaine spend an extended period of time in the D-League. The both of them are really surprising the coaching staff. "Two steals of the draft" is what they are calling them.
Sweet. Thanks for that tidbit. Looks like Morey wants to give the coaches a tough decision by bringing in McCants.
Think Kareem Abdul Jabbar and the LA Lakers...Yao will be the anchor and the half court guy, the rest will try to get out and run. DD
He's been better than Wafer and comes with a much smaller price tag. I like that he can palm the ball with either hand (something Wafer couldn't do at all). That makes it significantly easier to finish around the rim. Very good pick up by Morey.
It all depends on how well they adapt to the regular season. I think Budinger showed us quite a lot in the pre-season, while Taylor was hurt.
Did we sign Peter John Ramos to a non-guaranteed contract? Do non-guaranteed contracts cost Les anything more than training camp per diem expenses if the player gets cut?
