Yep, I like this guy, and he has proven it in the NBA, if his mind is right, he might make the rotation.

The question I have is what does this mean for the other SG/SFs? We sure are stockpiling a lot of them.

Tmac, Ariza, Shane, Taylor, Budinger, Barry and now McCants...

Lots of similar players, maybe Morey is going to move a couple of them.

This was a good signing even if Tracy will be there for the beginning. He's a athletic 2 that can score in bunches. He's had attitude problems and maturity issues in the past, but haven't seen or heard much about those issues last year. I think he will make the team because he has proven something in the nba. I think this might push Buddinger or Taylor down to Rio Grande for seasoning. Barry and Cook needs to go. It also could mean something bigger also. Good move by Morey.

Tracy plays 32mins,Ariza 32mins, Shane 20, and McCants 12, sounds good to me :D.

Didn't this guy come in 1st place in a poll of NBA players asking "Which NBA player thinks he is better than he actually is?"

Don't we have an injury exception for Yao? I know this includes CAP relief, but does it open a roster spot as well?

It doesn't. He'll be part of the 15-man roster, regardless of whether he plays.

Wouldn't surprise me. He thinks he is Kobe, but he is Von Wafer.

Interestingly enough, Von Wafer thinks he's Kobe, but he is Rashad McCants.

Solid pick up for pretty much nothing, let's see if the kid can make it work.

It's exciting that DM has signed a guy that has "potential".

Maybe in the right setting, with guys like Scola and Shane, he will get his head on straight.

He has more natural talent than you could imagine...And he can shoot the hell out of the ball...

Don't see any trade, unless Pops replaces Dorsey. It will come down to Pops vs McCants. McCants obviously has more talent,Pops is more of a systems guy.
Von Wafer could get selfish and petulant, but at times he did try to work with the team. McCants is likely to cause more problems than Von.

However on a team, that is offensively challenged,DM is trying to get a cheap addition and see if it works.

He's gonna be on the roster this coming season....if he was just another training camp body then getting rid of James White would have been pointless. (Speaking from an earlier post). The last thing I read about him was he was working out for two other teams. I think the fact he was still available after all this time even shocked the Rockets and they jumped on it. (And speaking from another post from earlier), I don't see the Rockets spending 2mil to draft Taylor and trading him just because they signed McCants.

Good pickup. Could very well work out for us. Instant offensive player who can shoot it from deep at a good percentage.

    My thoughts exactly.

All the same, I still like the signing. He's a bit of a malcontent but the guy can flat-out ball. The Von Wafer comparison is pretty much perfect.

So we signed the player we all hoped Jermaine Taylor would become?
