    Non-guaranteed contract?

I didn't realize his stock had sunk so low. He was completely off my radar. Hopefully it works out well for us. He could be a talented scorer, and we'll need it.

training camp invite moreso than anything it seems

said went from being a lottery pick to this mainly because of his attitude

he has skills but everything else about him seems very un-morey-esque, who values players who work extremely hard etc.

    McCants is a decent player.

Is there a deal about to fall? We sure are bringing in a lot of dudes to camp.

this fall from grace could be the humble pie this guy needs to get his attitude in check. the rockets locker room could help as well.

Edit: Should be 15 guaranteed contracts actually. Accidentally put Ariza in there twice.

    16 guaranteed contracts right now:

    Yao Ming
    Tracy McGrady
    Shane Battier
    Luis Scola
    Aaron Brooks
    Trevor Ariza
    Carl Landry
    Chuck Hayes
    Trevor Ariza
    Kyle Lowry
    Chase Budinger
    Jermaine Taylor
    David Andersen
    Brian Cook
    Joey Dorsey
    Brent Barry

Barry won't be here, which brings it down to 15. Dorsey and Cook are next most expendable. Looks like it will be tough for both McCants and Pops to make the team.

Here's your Wafer replacement guys. They have shockingly similar games, size and athleticism plus the attitude problems to boot.

just 2 seasons ago this guy averaged 15 ppg shooting 41% from 3.

He's a pretty good bench player, I like the signing a lot

That's a myth. Morey values production more than anything, he doesn't care how hard you work if you suck. He just pays attention to all TYPES of production.

Good pick up for us. A real SG that can score the ball. Has had attitude concerns in the past but mostly been due to reputation. Put him with guys like Shane and Luis and all that could change. He would seem to fit well in Adelman's system. Going to be some interesting camp battles for roster spots. Morey may have plenty of players with good contracts to package in trades later on.

All I remember about this kid is the pouting skills he had shown from the bench when he was with the Timberwolves. Low risk move.

Does Yao count as a roster spot if he is not playing this year??? Could only mean 14 (im subtracting Barry).

15 guaranteed contracts, including Barry. You counted Ariza twice, dude.

Brian Cook probably won't make the roster, and will likely be packaged off with Brent Barry before the season starts.

    Big men:
    1. Yao Ming
    2. Luis Scola
    3. Carl Landry
    4. Chuck Hayes
    5. David Andersen
    6. Brian Cook ($3.5 expiring)
    7. Joey Dorsey

    8. Tracy McGrady - SF
    9. Shane Battier - SF, too slow to play SG
    10. Trevor Ariza - SF
    11. Chase Budinger - SF/SG
    12. Jermaine Taylor - SG

    13. Aaron Brooks - PG
    14. Kyle Lowry - PG

It's far more likely that a guard gets the 15th roster spot, especially someone capable of bringing the ball up the court. Pops would be nice with all our undersized, flat footed PF's but I think it's more important that the back court is addressed.
