    Against the soft cap, yes. But overall as long as it does not surpass the hard cap it'll be fine.

    Ok, the question is... Will the Rockets trade Yao Ming and his entire contract or will they keep Yao and just use the exception? Hmmm

    So it's either use the exception OR trade Yao? If we deal the exception, then we aren't allowed to deal Yao later?

    My slow a$$ mind is still confused with this issue. Can someone clear this up for me please?

    If we use the DPE can we still trade YAo and entire contract?
