I said IF they sign Dampier. If they don't sign him we will keep Hill to play backup PF and some back up C. I just can't see them going over the cap to keep a 8th big man on the reserve list.

mmmmkay. Not sure I'd call it that. That's how I see it and I thought I'd explained why I see it that way. Versus his arguement which was loaded with thought.

Living in a real world behind a fake name... George was my favorite.

Hill definetly showed enough last year to force us to play him this year. Even if to just bump his trade value.

I like his inside game he became solid with that little hook late in the year, and with his speed it seems like he could develop a 1-2 dribble power drive in the future. His jumper is also decent as is right now. Lets hope he can make another step forward in those areas.

Prince is 30 lbs heavier than Martin and more durable. He's only getting injured now, because he is old. More weight would big difference in how much stress is absorbed. When 2 objects collide, the smaller object takes most of the impact. The lighter the smaller object in regards to the larger object, the more force it absorbs.

That post didn't say "if they sign Dampier" at all.

Smaller? I think you mean less massive. As well, the relative speed of the objects as just as important. When you get hit by a baseball, the baseball is fine because it was moving and you're not. Even then I'm not sure the force delivered to the 2 objects is really different...they simply differ in their material makeup and how they take a hit, determining the amount of damage.

Funny though how we have a player who's too big, and thus injury prone, and too lite, and thus injury prone.
