That's OK. I gave up on this team in the offseason when CD said that they WANTED Juwan Howard in the T-Mac deal because of his "professionalism" and when they signed Charlie Ward to run the point. Sorry, but unlike the late lamented Captain Smith, I CAN recognize an iceberg when when I see one approaching...

Once again, I propose the trade of Lamar Odom and Chris Mihm for Yao and Mo. The Rockets would increase their uptempo pace with Odom playing the small forward alongside TMac. Mo is unloaded. The Lakers are more proficient at hitting the 3 pointer than the Rockets which means they need a big man in the middle more than the Rockets.

Rudy T has gotten the Lakers (arguably equal talent) to a better record than the the JVG Rockets.

Are you sure you don’t want to give them TMac also?

I've already presented my arguments why the Rockets would be better off completing the transformation to an uptempo team. Lamar Odom is a good player. Mihm is better than Mo.

I think you can get a lot more than Odom and Mihm out of Yao and Mo. I'm sure Lakers would give up anyone other than Kobe for Yao and Mo. They'll even throw in Rudy and take all of our bad contracts, maybe they'll throw in laker's girls too.

I am not hating your vision of a winning uptempo team, but if you are going that route, you can get a lot more than Mihm and Odom.

Everyone got mad at me for basically saying the same thing before the season started like I was a hater. Talk is cheap, it was cheap before the season started and the price is going down as it goes along.

was there any way we could have kept cato and they could have kept juwan?

    cat+francis for tmac+lue?

was that a possiblity that the rockets had?

just wondering... cause cato would be perfect and juwon is just a curse

Did I hear you say transform to "play uptempo team" with JVG as the coach? Are you just back from oversea trip?

I think they could get more. I think they could get a 1st rounder out of Los Angeles along with the maximum $3 million cash.

I think this helps both teams out. The way the team is constructed how is partially half-court and partially uptempo. That's garbage.

I never said JVG should be the coach.

I bet the Lakers would throw in Caron Butler too if pressed. The Rockets would have to give back JJ.

    I hear you.

I am not ready to give up on this team yet as we are not even done getting the players. If by end of the season Rox and Lakers are playing the same way, maybe your trade will be more attractive.

If the Lakers take Yao+Mo+Ward+JH+Spoon+Wash Les's car for a year for All laker's starting linup w/o Kobe+cash, the trade does make sense for both teams. I seriously doubt Yao will go before Tmac though. I also doubt Yao or Tmac will go before JVG.

    Trust me on this:

You don't have to press the Lakers to get Butler if it involves Yao in a trade.

Lakers really want Yao, for many reasons.

Mo Taylor is the single biggest problem with this team and has become my least liked Rockets player of all-time.

It offends me to watch this sack of **** play basketball knowing that he makes absolutely no effort whatsoever on the court to win. He is LAZY. He has talent and makes a lot of money for that talent without giving an effort. He has quit on his team, he has quit on his coach, and he has quit on the fans that pay the ticket price that pays his outrageous salary.

    **** Mo Taylor.

Hindsight being 20/20...instead of moving Francis/Cato/Mobley what if some of the other parts were, like JJ/Taylor/Spoon etc.? Would we have a better product on the floor this year?

Perhaps the second-tier guys were the problem all along...

    bigger shock ...

so very few players are honest enough to admit JVG's a fraud.

he's lost this team, the rumblings will only get louder.

On the whole, why they would choose to keep doing what loses is puzzling to me. I can't figure out a good reason why you'd want to go down that path again.

OMG what an EGOMANIAC! This guy is incredible. Translation: It's their fault that we suck, and if only they did what I say we'd be winning. Amazing. Who would want to play hard for this guy?
