I'm not as easy going about losing half our MLE for the next couple of years. Scola better contribute.
What? For the next couple years? We will have the FULL MLE to spend next year and every year afterwards, unless we are under the cap.
Well.....all I can say.....Dream Move of the Summer !!! Even though I like Spanoulis and sad to see him go, yet Luis Scola is really a big catch to fill out the Rockets' weak link. I read alot about Luis Scola in the past. This guy is a winner. In an interview sometimes in 2004 or 2005, when reporters asked him about his dream after he has won the Olympic gold medal and Spanish championship, he said he is a realistic man that only sets short term goal and to achieve them one by one at a time. The reporter then pressed, and he said Euro League will be his next. Now that he has won almost every possible championship and titles he could dream of.....maybe his next could be a NBA championship together with Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady.
Pryuen, Scola needs a good shoe or apparel deal from China to help with his buyout. Make it happen! (Or at least post more tryout photos.)
I feel very contented as a Rox fan. Here's a question I posed to Jonathan Feigen on his blog, with his response: http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2007/07/hitting_the_jackpot_rockets_la_1.html#comments So now, hopefully, we can just go with the roster we have and add more talent as it becomes available. I honestly can't remember when the last time was that I felt we really had a well-balanced roster.
MVP in Spain twice. Second best player on Argentine national team after Manu Ginobilli. Star of gold medal winning Argentine national team at 2004 Olympics. Acknowledged by many as best power forward in the world outside US. Acknowledged as best non NBA player in world. Hmmm..... I think he will do alright
Not to mention he has been used to being double and triple teamed, when he gets to play with Yao and Tmac, his game is going to be so much easier......as the 3rd or 4th option.... He can slowly get used to the USA game by hustling and finding his niche, with little pressure. Man, I am EXCITED about the Rockets this year....more than EVER since the championship years. DD
