I'm glad Ron is speaking up about the intensity of this team. Ron goes out and plays with heart every night. That's what I love about him. He's hurt but he is still out there giving his all. He has also been a model citizen since he has been here. Let's hope that continues, but unfortunately I think he probably has at least one blow up in him. When he gets healthy I have no doubt that he will be the man to go to down the stretch in a game when we need a basket. Ron has the ability to will a game to victory. Unfortunately I can't say the same for Tmac or Yao. While I respect Yao's game he just doesn't have the killer instinct.

The sequence where KG posted Chuck up twice and missed both times made me laugh. He kept backing into him but was getting any closer to the basket. By the time he shot the ball, KG was too tired from the pushing and shoving to hit it.

I have to agree. I forgot just how good of defender Chuck is. He really gets up for games when he is playing against a marque player. The CHUCKWAGON was just as important to this game as Von and Yao's last minute shots.

Ron is great. He's all about game/team strategy whether it's totally conscious or instinctual to him: he identifies what needs to be done on the floor in a particular game and does it, whether it be scoring, defending, getting under the skin of the other's team's stars, politiking refs, whatever. I'm glad we won after he fouled out, so he'll know that the hard work ethic has rubbed off on the rest of the team.

Not even close. You know things are bad when one's teammates stop calling him out - because that means they have given-up on him.

Good to see the guys haven't given up on t-mac.

That is a great way to look at it....I think they are desperatly reaching out to him...they know he is insanely talented.....and would be better off with him buying in....

The ball is in Tmac's court now.

I woudn't describe the situation as desperate just yet. The guys have confidence in t-mac, it's just right now t-mac doesn't have confidence in himself.

If they are calling him out publicly it is desperate, that is usually the last chance before the team ISOs him...

Then you either have a low bar for what you consider desperate or you don't know what desperate is.

Trust me, desperate is a lot uglier. When there's begging or ultimatiums involved - that's desperate....we are not even half way there to desperate my old friend.

thank you, I been trying to tell all these idiots who dont read articles and just shout out random opinions...the main reason Shane is not traveling with the team is because his foot swells on flight....why would they ask him to go on this road trip and have it constantly swelling...when he can sit at home and rehab it and not worry about flying..

the question is if Tmac, was not playing half of the back to backs would he travel? And if he didnt travel...what trainers are in Houston working with him making sure he is doing his rehab.

In today's chron's article, they took away the quote where Artest called out Tracy. That's interesting. :)

To be able to lead, you got to have people's respect. That's why it usually falls to the most talented players to lead. But sometimes it's the guys who are respected for their toughness that lead. Remember Charles Oakley on the Knicks? Ron Artest doesn't take s**** from anyone. Remember when he was new to the league, he got pissed at Michael Jordan in a pickup game and broke his rib. When Ron Artest says something, people are going to listen and maybe t-mac needs someone who's not afraid of hurting his feelings to say something to his face. And sometimes you gotta get people angry to light a fire under their ass. Let's hope Artest can light a fire under t-mac's--either that or kick his ass during practice.

WHAT A GREAT EFFORT BY THE CHUCKWAGON!

if you listened to yao's postgame interview with craig, YAO makes it a very conscious effort to praise chuck hayes and his defense against KG. i thought that was awesome that yao did that because chuck really deserved it tonight.

chuck played amazing defense on KG one on one, when after the first few shots i thought garnett would go for 30+ last night. he shut him down on those post ups and utilized the shane battier hand in the face defense to perfection.

i also remember a play where we lost a defensive rebound right by the basket but chuck stayed with the play and ripped it away from whoever that was from the celtics.

    thanks chuck!

I hope you are right. But by his reaction after yesterday's win,i started to question his relation with the team.If a player really cares for his team, and his team just won a hard fought battle against the champ,he should be the happiest guy and cheer for his team-mates as the final buzzle sounded, regardless his injury, instead of emotionlessly heading straight to the locker room.I really hope i am reading too much into his reaction after that hard fought win against the Celtic.
