What Artest said is absolutely true...talent is one thing, but if you don't work hard and get the most out of it, you ain't helping the team. Guys tend to slack off because they depends on others to produce.

What artest said about Tmac is true. Tmac has to do something about his own attitude towards training and competing. He is much too young to say I am afraid of being hurt again or ....

"The other thing is you cannot go into this game and give up a basket and drag your head down and start looking at your teammates. You got to play. You got to compete. You can’t feel sorry for yourself."

Nobody find this part from Adelman interesting?

Rockets might have called in... Even then Feigen doesn't have control over what is published or taken out. It's up to the editor.

If anything Feigen's standing by his article by having that quote up on his blog where he has more freedom.

That reads so much like JVG. No way in hell he'd put up with that. You could go 0-10 on wide open 3's and he'd keep you in there if you're doing other things well and playing hard; but if you don't move your feet and show effort on D, then he'd yank you immediately.

That was a most grievous "slip" of the tongue. :D
After the next game, Ron should "slip" and say T-slack should quit "being a punk-a$$ b!tch" etc etc---except he won't get the chance, Morey/Adelman will remind him to keep the aftergame quotes to, "You know, I'm just glad to be here. Lord willing...."

Exactly. This is why Tracy was destroying morale by moping around on the floor. Would have been better to sit him and avoid the drama.

Not only because of lack of ability and effort, that could go for any player, but that he is a pillar of the team, one of the big 3, who the players defer to and look to save the day. People are told plainly that he is better than them, that they will have to rely on him, they have less confidence in their ability and throw in their lot with him, and when he comes crashing down, what are people supposed to think? A recipe for a panic

Fans get mad at Tmac and with good reason, but whether or not he is at fault, the situation should have been managed. Can't expect every player to be Ron Artest and relatively immune to despair

Referring to the original post...it's sorta hard to take that one statement and run with it unless you have the overall context of the conversation that the reporter was having with Ron. We have no idea what was being asked to him before that statement came out of his mouth. The reporter might have been asking fifty questions about McGrady and then changed the subject up a bit...while Ron was still in the McGrady train-of-thought. I'm not making excuses for Artest, but don't be naive and jump to revolting conclusions without the complete context of the conversation. I wouldn't put it past anyone in the media (who are literary ambulance chasers) to try to create a public firestorm out of a previous internal team spark.

^ Yes I don't mean to sound like I'm targeting Tmac but rather am talking about the front office. Management. What they should have done to avoid the drama.

I need more sleep. What I stated can be put in relatively fewer words:
Should have sat Tmac. He would have been just another injured player instead of "Oh noes one of our big 3 is bailing on us the season is over!!"

This was a great win and a great game. Not to say we were perfect in everyway, which means we still can get better.

The first quarter was ugly, but it was our second quarter that brought us back into striking distance with Artest and our second unit. We disappeared a bit in the 3rd quarter too. again our 2nd unit brought us back against Boston's bench. heck our 4th quarter was the best and I think that unit needs to be our starting Five.

Hayes still a keeper, he's a liability on offense, but his Defense against KG was breath taken. KG tried to go at him 3 times. all 3 times Hayes denied him. U know KG was pissed that a no name stopped him from penetration.

seriously Alston needs to give up his starting role to Brooks. Brooks may not be shooting any better than alston, but he can penetrate and get his teammates open looks.

Is Tmac the apologizing type, you ask? Let's not forget his quote after the Utah playoff game.

Instant drama, and no chance for Artest to clarify that statement.
