He is here to help beat fronting, hopefully he just runs the baseline looking for an Alley.

The Rockets have a good history of call ups that succeed. They're not superstars, but they more than hold their own. Maloney, Hayes come to mind right away. Alston was a former D-Leaguer as well. Guys from the D-League can be regular rotational players in the NBA. Maybe White will be one of those guys, maybe not. We'll see. Hopefully he's just one of those guys that needed some time to grow up a bit.

Anyone else see the facial similarity between James White and Snoop Dogg??? Except White looks like he's smoked more 'dro than Snoop, if that's possible. :D

I doubt he will get playing time and I see him getting some garbage minutes in one game and then dissappear like Gerald Green so do not want to get too excited. I am however happy we finally get an athletic player who can bring some excitement to Rockets games with some dunking like we haven't seen since the days of Drexler, Thorpe & Horry (not counting Francis because that's just one guy).

This is cool -- the Rockets need an electric player like White -- hopefully he can put in a few solid minutes a night along with a big dunk or two.

They surely prolonged this signing... gotta wonder if the Rockets took the extra time to put him thru some drills and psych evaluations. He will definitely get some minutes. The Rockets wouldn't have brought him in if they didn't think they could use some help at the wing. And he has 10 days to show his more than a maniacal human highlight film. I suspect he will be contributing on a regular basis (albeit only a few minutes a game) before the end of the season. That is unless he snaps under pressure and him and Artest snap and run into the Utah stands and start whacking fans. ;)

Nice pickup by Morey. It will be good to see if he has matured enough to play in the NBA. It is good to have emotions maybe he has the same emotions as Jackson of the Warriors. I hope his game is a little like Jackson's but with the flare of the dunk.
