Earl Barron? Big Center, can shoot the mid-range jumper & rebound.

then i doubt his signing would put the team over the top and past the second round.

Signing Brad Miller and Scola and Lowry seem's like the best option for right now. I think we should wait untill the trade deadline, when Jeffries and Battier expring contracts have some value for team's looking to shed salaries.

    Brooks 6'0 | Lowry 6'1 | *Smith 6'0
    Martin 6'7 | Budinger 6'7 |Taylor 6'4
    Ariza 6'8 | Battier 6'9 | Jeffries 6'11
    Scola 6'9| Patterson 6'9 | Hayes 6'6
    Yao 7'6 | Hill 6'10 | *Miller 7'0

This team's depth would be insane with just the mear signing of Brad Miller, and re-signing of Lowry and Scola as well as the the possible addition of a third string PG in Ishmael Smith.

Earl Barron would be welcome over Brad Miller for damn sure.

Feigen is pretty horrible, but Friedman doesn't offer much either. The fact is that there is no quality reporter covering the Rockets, which sucks.

About the Rockets' "Plan B", I think the Rockets should take a hard look at Brad Miller and Jason Williams. Miller because, of course, we need a backup big whenever Yao goes down due to injury. He can stretch the floor and pass.

J-Will because, aside from Lowry, there is no true PG on this roster. Plus, having J-Will would allow us to have Brooks at the 2 (where he can score and shoot as much as his heart desires) whenever teams go small. Williams does a great job leading the fast break and getting the ball where it needs to be, which is precious in the halfcourt setting we're going back to now that Yao is back.

Our halfcourt offense has suffered since Brooks assumed the starting role because, as good and clutch of a scorer he is, he cannot deliver the ball to players where they can score efficiently and do something with it.

Shaq would make a great backup center in my opinion. hes old and less dominant, BUT he can still guard the paint area and still has good games where he scores and rebounds well. Plus as backup, theres no foul trouble worries, plus hell be easy to land now. Not to mention the publicity we'd get because of this. YAO and SHAQ, just imagine!!!

Not a chance, IMO. I think he's burned his bridges in Miami. I think if he goes anywhere, it will be a 2-year deal with Atlanta or signing with Dallas. I'd love to have him as a back-up for the right price, but I just don't envision that happening.

he aint goin anywhere that he doesnt have a chance to win....Atlanta is good but he isnt gonna win a ring there...Dallas the same. I could see Mia or whereever Lebron goes (unless its back to clev)
