Yet another conspiracy theory. Yeah, not one person (including anyone here) broke the Thomas trade, to the point that the media was scrambling around the lockerroom only after Kenny was told! Then we have Feigen reporting on Sunday that it went through one month of permutations (ie, with no leaks), but this time Carroll Dawson forewarns Lopez to "prep" us. Please make the soap opera theories stop.
I dont see why everyone is so pessimistic. The suns are in as much trouble as we are. Heck, the Lakers are in a worse situation. Shaq is hurting and their schedule over the next week can set them back 3 games. I will get pissed only if we are mathematically eliminated from the Playoffs. Until then, its all good.
I think a lot of people have counted the Rockets out a bit too prematurely. All it takes is one big winning streak by the Rockets or one big losing streaking by Minnesota, Utah, Phoenix or the Lakers and then people will probably say the Rockets are safe. There still a good number of games to be played and the Rockets could even end up as high as #6. The Rockets are only 2 games behind Phoenix and 4 games behind Utah. Then again, the Lakers are only one behind Houston. However, with 31 games left for the Rockets a lot can still happen. A few weeks ago, the Rockets were 23-15 and coming off a big win against the Lakers. They've since gone 4-9. It would not surprise me if one of the teams the Rockets are competing with go through a similiar slump. It only takes one injury or a tough rough trip to have a change in momentum. Let's just hope the Rockets can put together a nice winning streak starting tonight!
How are the Suns in more trouble? We will be getting 3 of our starters back soon and have played the toughest part of our schedule already. We also have a better record right now.
Good question & points. Neither the Rocks or their fans are in the position to say another team is going to fade, especially when the Rocks look like they're fading right now. I guess some of us hold onto the hope that Amare hits that rookie wall soon. Personally, if he has\does, I can't see it hurting the Suns too much. Unlike the Rocks, where Yao is clearly one of the top 2 options, Amare is the 3rd option MAX on the Suns, and his ruggedness & explosiveness is more important to their team than his points.
