dude chill out.. I was just playing ... it was a joke.. we aint gonna waive him...... we gonna have to trade him for some trash that is better than him to relief the dang salary cap/..!!!

the dude cant play worth a crap.. stop defending him.. he might have been a good player one day ..but not now.. and all of the seasons he averaged 15 and 17 were actually LOSING SEASONS... that tells u how bad the dude is...

Juwan Howard is our problem... and again, if he played last year, we wouldn't have gone to the playoffs...

you must be kiddin me ... !!!! u aint happy with Chuck Hayes ??? yeah, he doesn't deserve to be in the NBA.. he is not a real PF... all he does is rebound, play great D, and finish under the basket, That's NOT WHAT WE NEED RIGHT ??? and we are paying him a lot of money compared to Juwan... and Chuck makes us a bad team, cant u see that every time he checks in, the whole game gets messed up and we lose ??

I dont know what's wrong with JVG & his supporters (I was one of them, until he gave the great "3 PG's and a shooting 4 speech"), a shooting 4 ??? why in Heck do we need a shooting 4 ??? our biggest need is a rebounder who can take a lil bit off Yao's back... not a shooter ... we already have a great shooter (mr.JHO) and we've seen how successful the dude was with the team this season and how great our team did with him...

hey man.. I know it's not fair to do that man... I know who Hakeem is and u can make sure of that by looking at my sig... I am just saying that they have similar body and playing style (actually, Amare has 1 trait from Hakeem and that is the mobility, nothing else.. Hakeem was good in everything, yes, even shooting them threes..! ;) )...
so I am so sorry for the confusion... I've said it before and I'll say it again..:
HAKEEM IS BY FAR THE BEST PLAYER TO EVER TOUCH A BASKETBALL..

Since we way overpaid him for years, he should come play for the vet minimum. Never thought I'd say this, but I wouldn't mind having him back, if he was cheap.

I think I remember seeing him quoted as saying he wants the full MLE at least.

I would say he's delusional, but then there's always NYK.

As a 7'er he'hh get a better deal than he deserves. Perhaps he or Slava will be a Rock for 1/2 MLE (with VSpan getting 1/3 MLE)???

I wouldn't mind slava if healthy.

don't think he's JVG's kind of guy, but it's not like there's a ton of options out there.

Certainly, the most important need on this team is shooting. I agree with that. However, our second biggest need is a PF who can shut down opposing PFs in the west, rebound, and make shots in the paint. Since we already have a PF who can shoot it well from 17 feet, and since we will be paying him for the next couple of years, and since Stro is a lost cause, I think we ought to get a 4 who contributes in those other ways.

Mind you, I'm not talking about guys like Kelvin Cato, who can't shoot a lick, and have no offensive game what so ever.

Since filling a PF spot is notoriously hard (and expensive) in free agency, I think that the best way to aquire the player we need is through the draft. It's a particularly good draft for PFs. Sheldon Williams would be my choice.

However, for those of you who think we need a PF who can jack up 3pters (ala Walker), we could always trade Stro, not resign Hayes, and draft a guy like Pittsnoggle (or however you spell it) in addition to Williams.

Since we drafted Luther Head last year, and since there is a chance that we will bring V-Span over, and since it will be easier (and less expensive) to sign a good shooter in FA than a power forward; I just don't understand why we'd draft a Shooting Guard.

As far as I'm concerned: Stro's value, along with the MLE, along with a better shooting year for Head, along with the V-Span possibility; should net us the shooters we need to be competitive next year.

Plus, a guy like Sheldon Williams can come in this year, and make an impact immeadiately. A JVG player if I've ever seen one.
