Thats why i wouldnt have drafted head last yr with the need at the 4 spot behind or competeing with Juwon. I thought they could have had Lucas as a backup behind Rafer and drafted simien.
I haven't seen this defense you're talking about from Lucas. I hope I just missed it, and he's more capable in that area. Having said that, the kid is very bright, and will learn to improve in that area under Van Gundy. (or get his butt kicked from here to Sunday!)
get this done already!! I want to get past this and start looking at the next, and possibly final step in the tinkering process... getting a legit PF.
He is just a shade smaller then the 24 pick Lowry was. Lucas is listed at 5'11 and 180 lbs, Lowry at 6' and 185. I agree with you though, Vegas and the regular season are much much different. I see him maybe playing 8-10 mins a game at best this year.
