Ryan Gomes(somewhat lousy contract), Deandre Jordan for Jared Jeffries, Ishmeal Smith and Rights to Swap Clipp's 2nd round pick...

    I agree.

I'm thinking it might take something along the lines of AB/Patterson/Jeffries to get Camby. I'd hate to give up Patterson & AB, but it's my opinion that Camby would make that big of an impact on this team. I realize that he's turning 37 years old in March, but he's putting up 10.8 rpg, 1.7 bpg & 6.4 ppg while starting in all 27 games & playing 28.2 mpg. He's very athletic & would give us a nice platooning combo with Miller.

With players like Scola, Battier, Miller & Yao getting towards the end of their careers we don't have a lot of time left to make a serious run at the championship with these guys. So in my opinion, bringing in Camby would give us the best chance we have at winning a championship.

Scola is only like 30yrs old...He has plenty left in the tank. You must didn't see the "Argentine Two-Step" on Blake Griffin last night.

Elton Brand... He's a Center and yes his contract is not where it should be but he is very serviceable and does put up nice numbers...

Jordan Hill we be good enough to start at center. well before the playoffs; I'd say 3-4 months.

I know Morey is a wizard, but I don't think there is a deal out there that makes sense for us.

Right now we have Miller, Chuck, and Hill to play center. We could improve the position, but maybe not at a reasonable cost. If anything, I'd set aside some assets to trade for a very high pick in the draft. At least then, we'll end up with value. Or, get a big, tough PF that can rebound, block shots, etc. If we make a deal out of desperation, we'll give up more than we should.

I don't see Morey doing it.

Does anybody think Philly would give up a first round pick in 11 or 12 to get Brand's contract off the books? What about some sort of pick arrangement similiar to the 2011 pick swap? Would Philly be willing to swap the lower of their pick or our 2011 pick swap with the Knicks, or would they be willing to set up a pick swap for 2012 with our remaining Knicks picks to dump Brand for expirings?

at least gomes is much better than jeffries. gomes is an average ball player, that does not do everythiong particuarly bad, but hes not good at any particualr thing either. he does have a midrange jumper, and an okay defender.

Would you still feel this way if there was a possibility Roy doesn't return this season? Even if he did, there is no assurance he will even play beyond this year. Perhaps you aren't aware of how bad his knees are.

Roy was and still is one of my favorite players to watch but I wouldn't want him anywhere NEAR my team. Those knees are in bad shape and even with some time off, he will never be the same again.

Camby makes too much money to be giving up so much for him... plus if hes gonna retire why do it?
