Maturity is not the problem. Sanity is.

Sorry, Ron. I love you to death. :D

completely disagree. it's nothing like what tmac does. when tmac hogs the ball or takes bad shots, there is still a decent chance they will go in and there is also a high chance that he will set someone up with a good pass. there's also next to zero chance of a turnover. the only negative outcome is a missed shot (not saying this isn't a big deal, just pointing this out for the sake of the comparison.)

on the other hand, when ron hogs first of all there's next to zero chance of him making the shot because he is so unskilled that he is completely unable to free himself for a good look. the only prayer he has is if he has able to get a clean look going to his left. more importantly, while there definitely won't be a pass, even worse is that there's a high probability of the play resulting in a turnover because he has such little body control and is so clumsy with the ball. even worse is that he isn't your typical unskilled player like say a shane battier. he actually tries to do the same crossover and spin moves that elite wings do, but obviously has no chance and dribbles it off his leg or something.

couple all of this with the fact that he feels its his responsibility to carry this team in the clutch as its best player (in his own eyes), and you have a bad situation.

ball hogging is always bad, but some cases can be much, much worse.

Ron Ron delivered in game 1, plain and simple. He passed when he should have, shot when he should have shot, played solid defense, scored 15 points, STAYED WITHIN THE SYSTEM, and played SMART basketball.

FANTASTIC JOB ARTEST! Major kudos and pats on the back for you!

The one bad shot he took, he immediately raised his hand to say, "Sorry guys, I realize that wasn't good". Dude is catching on to this team concept.

(Let's just make sure Brooks keeps passing, on a couple of back-to-back possessions in the 3rd he over-dribbled and caused turnovers. In the first half his passing and shooting were great great great though).
