I think if MoT would have made the driving left-handed dunk over garnett late in the 3rd quarter it would have been an intense momentum changer....Enough to break Minn's back. However, the rockets were really haphazard on D. They had some good stops, but seemed to always be trailing or leaving guys open all night... It's good to have these games before the playoffs to work out the kinks...I think we beat Minnesota in the 1st round.
This is exactly right..think about it. All the pressure will be on the wolves. They are the ones who have'nt made it out of the first round in the last what 5 years? We will be the underdogs and this team like all other Rox teams thrive on being the underdog. Now lets just hope we get the wolves in the 1st round???? JB
Totally. All of our guys have strut in their step playing against Minny. Confidence helps a lot in stressful series.
Our team is one that barely qualifies, it would be a MONSTER upset if we beat anybody in the first round. DD
I agree. To best honest, I just want this team to GET INTO the playoffs. Whatever we do from there is gravy. I would love for us to GET IN and at least win a few games. But at this point ANY playoff experience is a huge plus for this team. It is the only way players like Francis, Mobley are going to grow, especially mentally. But, if we are going to have any success against the Wolves in the playoffs, we have to put together a TOTAL team effort like we did last night where ALL 5 of the starters are putting up double digit points. That is the only way to beat the Wolves because you KNOW Garnett is going to be solid and Cassell in the playoffs is money.
