Not a big deal in context, but leave it to JVG to make the sole slightly negative quote in an otherwise flowery and upbeat article....

I know he's trying to be complimentary, but he can't even be do that without expressing some slight negative vibes and showing what a dour and negative individual he is. JVG sucks.

If he comes back, I highly doubt he'll sign with another team, no matter how big the contract is. Clearly his heart lies with the Rox now, plus he knows we have a very damn good chance of winning a championship.

What I liked about the story most was that his wife wanted him to continue playing also stating the youngest child enjoys watching his father play.

Finally we hear the truth about family. I am so sick and tired of all this nonsense about players retiring to spend more time with their family. The families are greedy and just want media attention, that's all. Family has nothing to do with it; it's all about health. You're right, Deke is a class act!

Depends on who the Rockets drafted.

In the last write up for the Rockets website Dennis Lindsey mentioned scouting TAU that'd be Tiago Splitter.

When Yao is healthy the backup C role will go back to DNP's and 7 min appearances. I'd rather those minutes go to the rookie if Rockets do draft a big.

Trade Tiago Splitter and Bonzi Wells to Memphis for Chucky Atkins

Wouldnt mind Mutombo back next year at a much more limited role. It'll depend how the team shapes out, if he can be there as an 11th-12th man without him caring or if there's a younger guy to put in behind Yao.

Although Mutombo has outperformed himself, it is doubtful that he can continue at the same torrid pace!
Anyway I though that his money was needed for team development in the offseason?
