I'm not too impressed with the amount of foul trouble Swift gets into in just 21min of play

Wow!! 3.0 fouls in 21min per game. With starter minutes, he might foul out every game!!

Yeah that's 3 average, and looking at the individual game log there were a ton of nights where he had already racked up 4 or 5 in just 15-20 min of play.

That's a 10/5 player in only 21 minutes. I honestly think he'd be able to give us 13 & 7 right off the back, assuming he starts and plays about 32-35mpg.

His article is very encouraging, he said much better things about us than when he went to visit the Knicks.

It's gonna come down to money most likely and West may not want to deal w/ us. But if a 3rd party comes in and West gets what he needs, then I don't see it being too much of a problem.

Longtimefan- Did the news say anything else? I wonder what an "extensivel" meeting would consist of.

Dont get suckered in. Although this sounds favorable for the Rockets, he could just be using us as leverage. Were not the only fans/teams that read these articles, and it could just be a scheme to get him a bigger deal faster.

The thing is that we only have the MLE to offer him and everybody knows that. Teams know that they can just straight outbid him if it comes down to it, and they can outbid us very easily. Everybody knows he's gonna want more than the MLE, so if he wants a bidding war, then he should go to teams that can actually write a fat check.

Swift- Underacheiver who in 5 seasons cannot crack the Grizzlies starting lineup. Not motivated to excel. Let him rob some other team, I would rather wait and make the right decision, even if it takes a year.

Translation: I will go to Houston unless anyone offers more than the MLE.

Hasn't he already been to New York? Didn't Isaah wine and dine him this past weekend or did he not go?

Just a counter opinion. When you play behind what is deemed to be a star (Pao), sometimes you come off the bench and are a little overly aggressive trying to earn your stripes. Also, on his team, he was the 6 fouls to give guy off the bench gaurding all the 4's in the west. His job was to keep Pao in the game.

Well, they certainly can't pay him what he wants so this is most likely an exercise in FA dancing. Also to date, he hasn't been nothing more than a bench player for the Grizz so I really don't have that much enthusiasm for what he'll bring to the Rockets but there's a chance he could surprise us all.

I think something is going to be annouced today about the power forward position. I have no idea who. Or what. Or anything. Just that AN annoucement is imminent.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I'd be pretty happy with Stro at the MLE. Personally, I don't think he's worth the trouble/asset loss of a sign and trade unless it's a slam dunk type deal.

I would again like to mention that Mo Taylor averaged 17 points and 5 rebounds the season before becoming a Rocket...
