Not cool but it's nice that he has a good head on his shoulders.

Wonder if it was Schaub in the house, would he have received the same treatment. Not trying to do any nonsense race comparison here, just wondering if Houstonian's have more tolerance toward a football player. Schaub received just as much if not more criticism from the fans as Lin during the season and in the playoff. Wonder how fans greet him outside of the stadium.

DEDICATION! HARD WORK! DEDICATION! HARD WORK! Eye of Tiger!

Competition getting fierce. GSW clan (Curry/Thompson) taking it to the next level. Lin/Harden gotta keep up.

Ex-Kansas State star Laurie Koehn explains how she hit 132 of 135 threes in five minutes

    ....

When Laurie Koehn was playing for Kansas State almost a decade ago, she'd wake up at dawn six days a week, drive her Honda Civic to Bramlage Coliseum and start her day by attempting a few hundred shots.

The only reason she didn't do it seven days a week was because her coach forced her to take a day off.

Some of Koehn's peers undoubtedly thought her dedication was borderline crazy, but the perseverance has certainly paid off. Koehn, who spent last season with the WNBA's Atlanta Dream, pulled off a feat few if any players could match this week, sinking 132 of 135 rapid-fire 3-point attempts from the top of the key in a five-minute span.

Wha? Shooting 17 out of 25 3s is good??? 71%?? A girl hits 132 out of 135! I hope he was shooting with a defender in his face. Cuz if he was shooting straight up 3s like the girl, that don't sound good. Wonder what Curry does in practice.

Lin’s perfectionist tendencies came out in a 3-point-shooting drill called “beat the ghost,” in which Lin earned 1 point for every shot he made at the arc and the “ghost” earned 3 points for every shot Lin missed.

On one occasion, Lin made 17 3-pointers but lost 21-17, then kicked the ball in anger, Scheppler recalled with a chuckle. He refused to stop until he beat the ghost. It took 14 games. When Scheppler tallied up all of the scores for the day, Lin had converted 71 percent of his shots from the arc. “That’s the beauty of Jeremy Lin,” Scheppler said. “It’s not about moral victories. It’s ‘I have to win.’

Oh my bad, big difference in distance for WNBA and NBA 3 point line, 19'9" vs 23'9"

Not sure I even want to know what's going on in those other Lin threads so I'll just park this stuff here...

Here's the 1-on-1 where Howard spoke to Jeremy about his playoff performance:

And this is for any haters that may meander into my thread.

Have a nice summer everyone....lovers and haters both. :)

'However, I think most fans in Houston liked his improvement and are looking to better things ahead.'

unsure what qualifies Howard Chen to speak for 'most fans in Houston' but he pretty much nailed my sentiments re Lin. i was never expecting Linsanity 2.0 but i respect the effort and improvement.

hope he kicks ass next year.
