no question about his excellent defensive skills and quickness. But people want to see him fight failry, not too much and deliberate physical advantages.

Considering my "history lesson on Mtagwa" was in direct response to you saying I didn't watch the fight live (which you later found out I did), this response makes no sense.

You also made numerous comments that "King1 is Clutchfans boxing expert" and "It has to be true since King1 says" so yeah, your fellings got a little hurt. That's extremely immature behavior.

This is not a baseless accusation. This is an article on the irony of Team Mayweather's accusations against Manny Pacquiao regarding the use of performance enhancing drugs.

The irony lies in the fact that "Money" has been using a banned substance in several states. It is however legal in Nevada but nonetheless gives a fighter a boost in his performance.

If Mayweather was to fight Pacquiao in Dallas, he would not be allowed to use Xycocaine. Inside Boxing wrote back in 2002 , "Before the fight began, HBO’s Jim Lampley and George Foreman discussed hand injuries with references to Floyd’s recent hand problems. They said that Mayweather has been known to use hand-injected painkillers like Xylocaine, which is illegal in some states. Such painkillers could be more dangerous in the long term, since fighters with numbed hands hit harder since they cannot feel their hands,"

Floyd is known to have had problems with his fists when he fights and uses the drug to numb the pain when he punches. If I were Pacquiao, I'll take the offer regarding the Olympic-style drug testing not sooner than 14 days before his fight as long as Mayweather is prohibited from using any form of painkillers banned in any other state in the US. Obviously, this Xylocaine drug which is illegal in many states outside Nevada gives Mayweather an edge against his opponents. Pacquiao does not use any of these hand-numbing techniques. Can you imagine what kind of destruction he could inflict on his opponents if he does not feel any pain on his fists when he throws his hits? Think about it.

It's just funny to me how somebody who has used so many techniques such as coming in against a smaller fighter two pounds overweight of their catchweight limit and injecting banned painkillers in his fists can accuse someone who has no proven history of using any illegal substances of cheating. If anything, it just really seems that Mayweather's plan is to simply get another leg up on his competition by having Pacquiao's blood sucked and weakened before he fights him.

Mayweather has a history of not fighting the best and as Pacquiao plans to move on to fight a tough and dangerous opponent in former IBF welterweight champ Joshua Clottey, whom a lot of my colleagues like Radio host John Chavez and boxing writer Brad Cooney says is "a way tougher fight than Mayweather for Pacquiao", isn't it a shame that talks within the Mayweather camp's next opponent is centered on #40 ranked welterweight (based on Boxrec.com) Matthew Hatton.

Jones lands Pacquiao-Clottey bout

Jerry Jones got his fight.

The owner of the Dallas Cowboys, who made a strong pitch to host the now-aborted Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight at Cowboys Stadium by offering a record $25 million site fee, landed the next best thing.

The new $1.2 billion state-of-the-art facility in Arlington, Texas, will host Pacquiao's March 13 pay-per-view welterweight title defense against Joshua Clottey.

Jones and Top Rank's Bob Arum and Todd duBoef, who toured the facility and were Jones' guests at Saturday night's Cowboys playoff victory against the Philadelphia Eagles, closed the deal for the bout on Sunday afternoon.

"Bob was persistent in keeping this alive as a place for Manny's fight," Jones told ESPN.com, while celebrating the deal with Arum and duBoef. "I'm so glad Bob came back to us. We are so excited about this event and that we will be able to bring a big fight here for the Hispanic boxing fans, and all boxing fans in this area, who are also Dallas Cowboys fans. It's important for us. Manny is such an exemplary athlete."

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Jones could not contain his excitement.

"I never got into the NFL or bought the Cowboys for the money. I was lucky enough to already have some," he said. "This is about having a fighter like Manny and an event like this in our venue. When we finished the deal, I was shaking as much as I was when we beat the Eagles. I'm just as excited."

The timing of the formal news conference has not been determined because Pacquiao still needs to come to the United States from the Philippines and Clottey is headed to the U.S. from Ghana.

DuBoef said it probably won't be until after the Cowboys' Jan. 17 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Jones said the stadium won't be set for the full 100,000 seating capacity as was planned for a Pacquiao-Mayweather bout. Instead, they'll start in the 40,000-seat range.

"But that's one of the great things about the stadium -- we can expand the seating capacity as it warrants," Jones said.

Arum (a huge New York Giants fan, not a Cowboys fan) was already in full promotional form after the deal was agreed to.

"This is going to be one of the biggest events in the history of boxing," Arum said. "This is the most incredible stadium setting I have ever seen. It is absolutely unbelievable. This is going to be much, much more than just a boxing match. A lot of things that happen are ordained by God. We weren't going to go here for Pacquiao-Mayweather fight because [Golden Boy CEO Richard] Schaefer wouldn't get on a plane and come down here and see the place. So that didn't happen. And now that fight isn't happening. And now we are here with Manny for another fight. When people see this event and how it will be presented, nothing in the past will ever compare to it."

Before the fight fell apart over a single issue -- the protocol for drug testing -- Arum was intrigued with the idea of bringing Pacquiao-Mayweather to Cowboys Stadium.

Arum, Schaefer and HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg were scheduled to be in Dallas on Dec. 9 to meet with Jones and tour the facility. But the night before, Schaefer called off the trip, a move that in retrospect was the beginning of the fight going downhill.

Besides being the home field for the Cowboys and now the host for Pacquiao-Clottey, Cowboys Stadium hosts the annual AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic and will host the NBA All-Star Game next month, the 2011 Super Bowl and the 2014 NCAA men's basketball Final Four.

One of the stadium's most significant fan-friendly elements is the world's largest (and most expensive at $40 million) HD video board, which is 72 feet high and 160 feet wide. Jones said all fans, regardless of where they are seated, would have a good view of the action because of it.

Moorer Says Pacquiao is No Cheat, Only a Hard Worker

Former heavyweight champion Michael Moorer had nothing but praise for WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. For a little while, Moorer worked as an assistant to Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach. Moorer spoke with Michael Marley to clear his name and squash any rumors that he informed Mayweather's camp that Pacquiao was using performance enhancing drugs, which caused the entire "blood test" saga that eventually killed the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. Moorer told his close friend and former trainer Teddy Atlas that Pacquiao is a beast in the gym.

“I spoke to Teddy the other day,” Moorer said. “and I told him that Manny Pacquiao is clean, that he trains like an animal like I did when I was fighting and that he trains so hard that the training is hard but the fights become easy. Manny loves to train, Manny loves boxing. It’s nothing for Manny to get on the pads and go 26 rounds nonstop.”

“I’ve got four kids here in Florida. I was away from home a long time. I’ve got nothing but the utmost respect for Freddie, for Manny or for anyone else in Manny’s camp. I am not bitter at Freddie, Manny or anyone else

Moorer is a little upset that his name became involved. He is not exactly sure who mentioned his name but he thinks someone in Mayweather's camp may have created the story.

“I don’t know the Mayweathers, really. But Floyd likes to play games, mind games with people, we all know that. If anyone wants to come talk to me, come man to man, because I am not hard to find. My heart pumps no fear for no man. I didn’t tell anyone named Mayweather anything," Moorer said.

“I told Teddy I don’t like people slandering me and defaming my character. I told Teddy what I tell everybody, that Manny is a workaholic in the gym. He handles boxing like it should be handled.”
