The more I dig the more scared I become. Eiko designed these suits for the Canadians for the Winter Olympics. I'm not so sure I want to see Jason Collier wearing one of those. Photoshop anyone??
If we are asking a designer to make our uniforms, then why did the Rockets ask for our suggestions (By sending in our sketches)? The only thing I can think of is that the Rockets couldn't find one design out of a few thousand that fit their tastes?
Probably just to make the fans feel like they had a decision. The designs could have been passed a long to real designers to give them ideas, who knows?
HtownRocks3, it seems like just you and I are the only ones who like the Rockets current uniforms. I say keep the uniforms.
For some reason, I think we have some sort of grey uni's. Kind of similiar to the Nest new ones. Grey and red would be pretty cool. I also think that they should adopt a black one for ABC games as well. Hell, if the Fakers can have 3 colors, then why can't we?
I think the red ones with silver and blue trim that had the simple but stylized "Rockets" logo up front that someone photo-shopped with Franchise looked great. It appeared on an earlier thread and seemed to satisfy all of the requirements Tim listed. Hopefully thats a signal that it (or something that looks very close) will be the end result (though I do worry that the designer will go too far and the design will be the trendy type that gets changed every couple of years)...
Man, I love red, but THANK FREAKIN' GOD they aren't bringing back the mustard. The last thing we need is to look like we work at McDonald's.

The Rockets wanted to know how the fans felt, and what their tendancies were. They then went and hired a real professional to do the job, which is exactly what they needed to do. I'm sure the uniforms are going to be great.

i think the nba is in need of a pink team with purple trim. j/k. i think we should be red with dark blue trim.
No disrespect to the two posters above but it still baffles me that anyone could actually like anything about our current unis.
