The guy is 6'8+ without shoes and weighed 245 when he was first drafted (he's bigger now, more like 250) and is 6'9+ with shoes with a 7'1 wingspan. I think he is physically about right (he is getting 10 boards in 25 minutes after all).

He will get better as time passes and will become a very nice player (I think his numbers will be like his year in Kentucky right before Cousins, Wall and Calipari came into town).

If we go with Blake Griffin, Cousins and Wall ahead of him, what rookies have looked better than him so far? Is he looking better than the 6th best player drafted (By Morey's board, not draft number)?

you're wrong. he needs to know to either box out his man or go to grab the rebound. the ball was close to him. it's the reason aldridge got the rebount to put it back. jhill was standing there and did nothing.

Nice to think about what ifs but lets see a few more games of PP. I'm not ready to declare him close to Landry or Hayes at this point. He's still a rookie.

i did watch NBA basketball before 2003 sir. and i know all about juwan howard getting offered the first 100 million contract by pat riley, how the NBA rejected the trade and he got offered an even higher offer. crazy times. that was when ppl only looked at stats, and the normal stats like pts/gm, rebs/gm etc to determine a players worth.
the point made was would you be happy enough for our young players potential to reach that of juwan howard's career? i wouldnt.

This guy is Carl Battihayes. He has Landry's quickness, Battier's brain, and Hayes' strength and court awareness.

Patrick is your standard Morey guy, good defender, team player, intelligent. Wouldn't surprise me if he eventually becomes a starter and a long time fan favourite.

I agree, I think PP could go toe to toe with dwight howard in the gym; and for someone with long arms, those are pretty big arms

Since you seem to be an expert on advanced stats, what was so bad about Juwan Howard that people didn't know back then?

Well, if Artest is RonRon, then PatPat should fit just fine. They have similar body type, don't they. :)

(For the record, I hate calling Artest RonRon.)

Either my comprehension is low or I'm reading some posts that say PPat's not that big?

I don't think so. That's a man out there. I'm not gonna predict how good he is, but physically he's NBA ready.
