Can't the Rockets do better than Fisher.

    He's actually shorter than SF.

He's a 10-15ppg type PG, with an outside shot. He's not a convential assist PG, but he does NOT turn the ball over. He's a good pickup...but he's be more of a setup-man for McGrady/Yao, rather than a playmaker.

But the key is that he's not turnover prone and can drive the lane, and hit his outside shots when our stars are doubled.

His contributions were missed in the play-offs due to his injury (Wovles).

hm... all these aren't bad suggestions.

troy hudson is okay... he's not a just combo guard, to answer the question above. he can be pass first, from what i've seen. pretty safe with the ball too.

skinner... hm! good idea. serviceable backup.

but we don't have money to sign these people.

    big question is this --

how much would fisher cost? if not that much then he'd be awesome on the rockets.

hudson would be the perfect pg to run the pick n roll with yao

course t-mac and yao pick n rolls are gonna be downright sexy

If I could have my pick of PG...it would be the following...

    1) K. Hinrich (Not available, damn!)
    2) E. Snow (Again? Not available! Double-damn!)
    3) D. Fisher (Maybe! Ok, I'm better now...)
    4) K. Ollie (He's available. But wait...we may not be able to afford him? Damn!)

    Hey, what's going on here?!

    5) Shawn Livingston (Ok, I'm dreaming now... )

I'd take Hudson in a heartbeat.

    Skinner sounds good too.

So did I. I don't think a PG that can run the pick and roll will be too important. Tmac can do it as well as any point guard, because he can elevate over anyone to get his shot or make the pass. Yao will set a huge pick, and can hit shots from anywhere. If he learns how to roll effectively, watch out nba. And JJ will simply watch in the corner and knock down threes.

Hudson or Fisher...either will be fine with me. Hudson is a good shooter and good penetrator while Fisher is a good passer and good shooter as well. Fisher seems to fit into this type of inside outside system than Hudson though and Fisher had played with a big guy and has more experience...but he's a little old...not quite that old..still have more years left. I think you can't go wrong with either guy.

However neither guy are good defender though. Both I think will get killed by players like Bibby, Parker and Nash with pick n roll...that has been proving in the Playoffs. But you know what....JVG is going to solve that pick n roll and make Fisher into a good defender...no problem!

When I met up with CD in this pic...
...I told him that I went to the same highschool that Dennis Lindsey did (Brazoswood) and he said "He's good people... I try to hire anyone that went to Baylor. Did you go to Baylor too?"

As if he was going to hire me on the spot if I'd said yes.

Well, I went to SAGU , a religious-based University... just not a Baptist one... (article about our Men's basketball team btw - http://www.sagu.edu/athletics/mensbasketball/fullarticle.asp?MensBasketID=37 )

I told CD, "I've driven by Baylor... I know where it is." CD was like... "Well, hey, (my name)... let me now if you ever move back down this way."

Oh, well. I guess I'll stay in the Dallas area for a while. ;)

And hopefully. Brent or Fisher will be simply watching in the other corner and knocking down threes. Yay! I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl. :D

Hudson is a great addition....... only if he is healthy. His broken ankles are not quite heal the whole last season.
