    Care to rethink?

    Maurice Taylor: 22 minutes
    Dikembe Mutumbo: 14 minutes
    Scott Padgett: 1 minute
    Bostjan Nachbar: 17 minutes

The regular rotation will get roughly the same amount of minutes every game. The others, like Mutumbo, will get minutes based on matchups and effectiveness. We saw yesterday Nachbar being productive- he got more minutes than everyone else off the bench except MoT and Lue. Padgett doesn't matchup well defensively with the Spurs interior game- he doesn't get much PT.

    Not really...

My point was Deke and Lue are part of the 7, and they both played. Moutumbo is not part of the the "others", he is included in the 7. Who else do you want backing up Yao?

As for Mo, I never said he won't play. In fact, if he can start knocking down the 3s in practice, he there won't be a 7, its going to be 8 then. Obviously Padgett wasn't going to play in place of Mo today, he got killed by Webber, and today we played Duncan.

Fact 1: JVG said he was treating these last 2 games basically like his regular season games.

Fact 2: In the first of such games, Mo Taylor played more than 50% more minutes than Mutumbo- and this is with Yao getting a minor injury in the first half.

Fact 3: Mo Taylor played more minutes than Juwan Howard.

Fact 4: Mo received these minutes despite not playing particularly exceptional.

Fact 5: Mo was playing significant minutes with the rest of the starting squad in the 4th quarter.

Fact 6: This all occurred without Mo attempting a 3 pointer.

These facts lead to Mo not being a part of the 7, and Mutumbo in it?

    YES.

Reason being we have ONE person behind Yao, and thats Deke. We have 3 people behind Howard.

You are confused. Being part of the regular rotation does not guarantee you major minutes, just regular minutes. Deke will never play 30+ mins, however he will play 12-20 mins every game as long as he is healthy.

Just because you are not part of the regular rotation does not mean you will play less minutes than everyone else, just that your time will be erratic, hence not REGULAR.

Deke will play regular mins everygame which makes him part of the 7.

If Mo will plays everygame and plays regular mins then yes he will be in the regular rotation too. Which i was assuming he will do, but this whole 7 business through me off.

The reason I'm singling out Mo is because Lue and Deke WILL play, they are the only backup point and backup centers we have. While we have 3 backup PFs.

"I don't understand this obsession with talent."

So the presence of Yao and Francis had nothing to do with his decision to sign with the Rox? Riiight.
