You missed my point completely. I don't care if you doubt Doc Rocket, just do it politely. I'm not saying that you're guilty but there are a ton of T-Mac fanbois here who attack the messenger because they don't like the message.

Secondly, it's a fact if it's happening regardless of whether or not we know about it. A tree falls in the forest--it's going to be down on the ground regardless of when you find out about it. In terms of what we know I've heard enough to believe that there are serious problems in the locker room--the closed door meetings with Adelman and Morey, the media reports of teammates confronting McGrady, Artest's public statements after the Celtics game, Doc Rocket's posts, etc.

Wrong. Trading a healthy, engaged T-Mac isn't good value. Trading the version of T-Mac that the Rockets currently have is. Again, there's a problem here with your expectations versus reality. Go back and read that Aldridge article on NBA.com where he talks about how shocked a scout was when he watched McGrady practice recently.

And again, who cares what people's expectations are? The Rockets look good on paper but that's worthless. You have to deal with reality, not what you would like reality to be and the reality is that right now the Rockets are not an elite team. The reality is that even if T-Mac came back they would probably still not be an elite team. My suggestion is that the Rocket take that and trade and plan accordingly.

I hope you are not a stock trader. Buy low and sell high. T-Mac's value is at an all-time low right now. What GM would give you good value for a bad T-Mac? What do you think would be good value for the current T-Mac? Do you think the "good value" will bring us a championship in the near future?

You don't know if it is happening. You just heard someone who heard someone said that it's happening. Again, I am not saying that it is not true. I am just not willing to believe it is as bad as it is claimed to be unless something clear comes out.

The reality is the Rockets are indeed not an elite team. However, trading Mcgrady when his value is at an all time low and moving him for someone like Kirk Hinrich who's a number 3 option at best (I'm being generous here) is not going to resolve our issues and it certainly would NOT fall under the guidlines of planning accordingly.

The best plan is to hope for one of 2 miracles. 1) Tmac comes back healthy, plays well and the team starts to gel and wins on a consistent basis. Winning cures most all problems. 2) We are offered a disgruntled/under achieving/misfit star ie. Baron Davis, RJ, Allen Iverson, Rip + ?? , Dre Miller + ?? Redd+Sessions/filler 3) We suffer and let Mac's 21 million come off the books in 2010. The point is we have planned and constructed for a championship run for the last 4 years. To trade a major piece for a glorafied role player (Hinrich) is not only detrimental for our short term success but long term success as well.

Furthermore, trading Mac and getting much less value in return just magnifies all the moves we made these last few years in a NEGATIVE way. Battier for Gay. Why? Because we were/are in a win-now mode. Why did Deke come here instead of SA or Boston? Because he has faith and we are in a win-now mode. Similar scenario for B.Barry. Why did we take a major risk in trading for Artest? Yep you guessed it. WIN-NOW. Trust me. If you want to trade Mcgrady for a player like Hinrich we're not gonna win now or tomorrow.
