You know what would suck? If Motie talking caught the Magic's attention and they wouldn't do a single trade without D-Mo in it.
with talk like this, he better make sure there is heineken at the bars in Toyota Center otherwise he will surely be vilified by the fans.
I love his passion. I hope we stay loyal to him the same way he is willing to give his soul to us. Of course this is all given that he can actually be something for us. Passion like this gets me so pumped up for the season.
Love the confidence he has and he also has the right attitude towards achieving his goal and that is to continue to work hard to get better.
I'm all about this guy and what he brings to the team. The size, speed, and skills to potentially be very good are all in place, and I like the attitude. He is just young enough and just cocky enough to not know any better. Most players like to use current superstars as ceilings to their own potential. D-Mo thinks he's an eagle, and that's fine by me.
The talking is fine. As someone else said though, a lot of it is probably the "damn this dude speaks English AND straight fire!"
everybody thinks that getting a job is only about talent... sometimes attitude gets you to the front of the line bring it on, DMO, we're ready for you!
We didn't waive Luis Scola, we amnestied him. Its far different, he still earns 100% of his contract and can go to the team of his choice as early as next year. Giving him the amnesty is a far better send off than trading him for picks/expirings to a loser team. Scola should be happy the Rox treated him so well, look what they did to Hakeem.
I don't understand why everyone is saying he needs to tone it down. It's not like he is being arrogant. His "talk" is about his determination to be the best he can be. He has high standards for himself and expects more out of himself. Can't fault a man for that. I love this guys attitude and he definitely does not need to tone it down.
Lot's of players are brash and believe in themselves. But what sets him apart form other players with lot's of talent is that he also doesn't have an entitlement complex. He knows he's fortunate to be in the league and that he has to work his ass off if he wants to live up to his ambitions. Plus, a 7 footer who is a baller, i.e. loves to play? That's awesome. Let's get some tutorials from Dream set up soon.
