Stability in the front office and coaching is always good. When teams change coaches and gms a lot, they're going to lose. I wonder how rick feels about this.

yeah look at what happened to the Suns when Steve Kerr took over from Bryan Colangelo...Steve Kerr simply wanted to make his own footprint on the team (ego much???) and look how that turned out with the personel moves that looks to be pretty dumb now.

And we can't not mention the D'Antoni split...now the Suns is a mess thats going nowhere...not competing elitely nor rebuidling properly...

I believe the JVG to Adelman change caused a step back for the team. The team's personnel under JVG and CD simply weren't suited for Morey and Adelman's styles and personalities and as a result its 3 years on and we're still not got the tiniest sniff of a championship.

GM-Coach stability will absolutely ensure success...just look at San Antonio and LA Lakers....Even though Portland is an awesome team now before Kevin Prichard took over they were a mess......

The front office matter as much as players themselves...if not more............

I don't recall Feigen saying anything like that.

Now Fran Blinebury (a columnist, not a beat writer) did:

Feigen's usually been very measured about Dorsey. Prefacing his comments with stuff like "If he learns how to defend."

Feigen didn't say anything about him,but he spins things. He clearly doesn't want to write anything that could be considered "wrong" by the organization.
If you feel differently, that's fine with me.

Btw, for those of ya'll who criticize Morey for not being able to get us a top-5 or top-10 talent, just wait. All these reasonably-priced assets are going to parlay themselves into Chris Paul, either this year or the next.

If my goal is to be as factual as possible, I'd also rather not say things about a team that the team itself considers inaccurate, unless I have a very strong reason for it. To me, that's just being a responsible reporter.

    Also ...

I remember him expressing dislike for the "Get Red" marketing slogan the Rockets came up with last year. He's been cynical about this year's "We Are Red Nation":

    ----
new slogan is "we are red nation"

    thoughts???

(This is why people get DVRs, to ignore commercials. And the whole 'nation' thing is very tired. -- Jonathan)
    ----

He's remarked in his blog a number of times that the Rockets do a horrible job with their presentation at Toyota Center.

Just some things I would not expect a Rockets mouthpiece to say.

Feigen certainly doesn't like to criticize the Rockets too much, that's for sure, and he often tries philosophy schtick to spin stuff. Some writers do that to get more sources and not tick anyone off, but Feigen doesn't even get scoops. He consistently gets beat by Berman.

    You hear that Les Alexander?!

Morey has done a good job so far, but his real test is what to do with McGrady and Yao and beyond.
