It's better for him to travel with the team instead of sitting his @$$ at home watching tv programs. Hope his rehabbing program is goin perfectly well. Can't wait to see him suited and booted and play healthy and stronger on the floor.
Gosh, it seems like forever ago when we weren't using him as that. But you know, I don't really care anymore. Honestly, I've finally come to the realization that we may never see a McGrady that is even a shell of his former self again and I'm perfectly fine with that. Am I fine with the way he carries himself with the size of his contract? No. Not at all. Will I be happy with him even if he never plays like he did before? Yes. I feel blessed that I was actually able to witness such a naturally talented athlete in McGrady and even more blessed that I got to see him display his gifts as a Rocket even if it was for a short span of time. So, however he plays when he does come back and however he plays when he is 100%, I will be perfectly content as long as he shows some heart. Any surprises from him along the way will just be added bonuses to me. Lets just hope those surprises aren't a bite from the injury bug.
ironically, tracy had better stats than ron all across the board when tracy did play ; guess he must be superhuman.
Fact is, Ron is a warrior, Tracy is not........ Ron is playing on 2 torn ligaments. What is wrong with Tracy again?
Look i'm not going to argue the point that Ron is a warrior. He is. Straight up. T-Mac also does have the tendency to make himself seem like a wuss. Not arguing that either. But don't be acting like Ron Artest has two ligaments hanging out of his ankle. They are very minor tears. Just like T-Mac had a very minor surgery. Again, not hating on Ron in any way, and i'm definitely not saying that it's not painful because it defiinitely could be, but they aren't like disastrously torn ligaments. Also, I think you can slightly tear a ligament just by spraining your ankle. That's what it does in theory to your ankle.
Good. It mean Tracy is feeling a lot better. You know him, he is not gonna play this early in the season if he feels he can't. He will take as many games off as possible, so if there is even a chance he can comeback, that means he really feels WELL. Actually Artest 'injury' is kinda good for T-Mac. Don't get me wrong, obviously I wan Ron to play as well, but it kinda forces Tracy to work HARD, be mentally tough, and come back earlier. And when he comes back he will have to carry a team. With Ron out he will need to be that guy. He will have to do his and Ron's job. He will have to be a scorer. It will be all on him and Yao. I belive it is good, because it will make him catch good rythm early. But as DaDakota said. If he comes back, he needs to be sure he can play WELL. Now like 'I am still not ready, but I have to play because Ron's out' No, you just get you ming that you feel well and you have to carry the team. No more excusess, if he is fionbe, even if he is something like 90% DON'T SAY IT. I mean just say: 'Yeah I feel good, I am ready to roll' and show it on the court.
Why do people care about things that have absolutely no relevance to the game itself. essentially, This is basketball we're talking about here.I understand the concepts of team work and leadership and how it effects every aspect of life, including sports. But at the end of the day. This is basketball. Its a game played by top level athletes with skill. Tmac can be whoever Tmac is, if he is productive between the lines for the 48 minutes of every game he plays, and if he helps the team win, i love the guy. This isnt wrestling or politics. It's basketball, and last time i checked, mcgrady is one of the best there has ever been at the game. His production, including when it matters in the playoffs, speaks for itself. Maybe if the team lacked passion and energy would i question tmac as a leader, but the team doesnt lack any of that. Tracy doesnt have to be a leader for us to play well. Yao Ming is a leader. Coach Adelman is a leader. Artest is a leader. Battier is a leader. We have a ton of leadership on this team. Let tracy be tracy. if he says hes in too much pain to play, that's what it is. There is no way anyone but himself can make that call.
Where did you hear this? If so, sounds like he knows that Ron needs a break, and I applaud him for it. DD
You serious? Taking on a run-and-gun team requires more energy and he needs to run back and forth down the stretch.I don't wanna see him hurt himself again
haha, I agree. He has defintly put on some weight. Fat, no, but not the weight he should be. He needs his quickness, so to increse that, he needs to lose 10lbs. Ron too. He would be much quicker while driving and defending if he were to lose a good 10-15lbs. Put them on a diet!
LOL Then one of the best defensive teams in the league gonna turn the whole game into a shootout. Put a slogan tagged on it: Shoot the hell out of 'em.
um, he did the same earlier this season when battier was injured. he clearly should have not started the season and hsould have rest up. if so, he would be pllaying right now near full strength.
those 2 torn ligaments were torn a long time ago simply from playing basketball on concrete too much (street ball). he simply re-aggravated by rolling his ankle (which is a typical basketball injury in sports). tracy has played through much worse injuries (the knee bruise last year, the back) and he still has been criticized. so it doesn't matter what injuries tracy has, he's still soft and fragile. others -> they're warriors.
