Come on, everybody knows Tmac isn't playing D or trying to hustle. Dude hasn't left it on the court this year. He's not jumping, hustling, or running to the rock.

I live in Orlando and watched him do the same thing as he was leaving the Magic. Stop giving him a hall pass.

Tmac haters tend to remember the "on me" quote but always forget the "we are going to go very deep, very deep this year". Who said that? Yao before 2006 playoffs.

I agree with you. Sure, Artest has the reputation to say what he said. And I don't disagree with him. What he said, and what he was trying to say, I agree with him. I think, as you are saying, it's something if he felt the need to say it should be between him and Tracy. Man-to-man if you will.

I think that's what Tracy was saying. I thought Tracy showed frustration in his words, but also spoke the truth. Keep that garbage out of the public. That he agreed with Artest.

Can't argue with you there. I know TMac has the ability to be a great defender. I think you have to ask him to just be a good defender so that he can have the energy to still be a playmaker on the offensive end. Although I disagree with Artest going public with his comments, which it seems like some of us...apparently it worked. Tracy came out playing D, and played it at a fairly high level the entire game.

Know what's weird. I don't know what's more frustrating. For example, Tracy's sometimes unwillingness to put forth effort on D, or Yao's inability to play effective PnR defense or defense on shooting big men. On one hand, at least you know Tracy can, and will put forth the added effort when the game is close. On the other hand, with Yao it is what it is. Nothing can be done to change it. :\

Watch the whole game before you make any judgment.

people may hate on him for that quote, but at least he put all the pressure on him. his teammates thus had no media pressure to perform so they would have performed better (which most didn't).

if he said, it's on yao if we go deep or not or else it's his fault. then we have problems.

As a matter of fact, he had been diving for balls until he decided to shut it down for that period of time. He even was doing so in the pre-season.

Is he not hustling now? I don't know. Is he giving up, I don't know. Is he just injured and trying, but can't really do much? I don't know. What I do know is he'll probably be honest about it when we decides to tell the media what the deal is. He's honest to a fault. If he says he's hurt, I'll believe him. If he says he's given up as he did in Orlando, then I'll believe it. Call me an optimist that has no place on this BBS :p hahah

Dude, I've watched at least 70 games that Tmac has played since he became a Rocket. So the one game for 5 minutes I did watch just confirmed the other 70 plus I've watch. BTW, I've seen over 85% of the games since 86".

Are you on his payroll or what. You can't tell me you actually think this cat is hustling for the $21 mln we're paying. Stop it.

You call other posters haters? lol.

I agree with T-Mac. They need to keep this sort of stuff in the locker room. I am not a fan of calling out your teammates in the media. Nothing good gonna come out it.

Yao went to locker room during the MEM game, not the TWolf game. Again, dont post crap without really watching the game.

What Artest said wasn't that bad he just worded it wrong. He should of just said that T-mac has been struggling because of his knee. If he just said that it wouldn't be talked about as a "call out"

How sensitive can a man be. Artest only pointed out the obivious, if that causes the locker room to fall apart than so be it.

I would rather not make the playoffs and Artest say something then make it and go out in the 1st round with Shemac laying down on D.

I though this thread is about Artest calling out T-Mac in the media and T-Mac shooting back? Why did bring Yao into the discussion? If you want to diss you, there are plenty other Yao-bashing thread.

LOL, 70 games. Tmac has played near 300 games for ROX and you have watched 70 of them. Yeah! I guess you watched all his 34 games this season and 36 sth game last year before the 22.
Stay on BBall, nobody here is on his or Yao's payroll.

Someone mentioned Tmac played lazy in the Twolf game. I just gave the fact that the problem in the early stage was Yao's defense. He then said Yao had an upset stomach back then, we all know that's the MEM game. Clear?

The logic is simple, someone on the team needs to standup to our so called superstar $21 mln per yr player. Dude isn't earning the money. Also, for those of us who were Rocket fans before and after the championship teams know what hustle looks like and it ain't your girl Shemac.

U would rather go in the playoffs with Tmac not hustling, lose in the first round and everyone act like it was okay? Stop it. We need someone who actually gets minutes to get this cat to play. Because RA and the coaching staff are failing miserably.
