[Chron] McGrady, Rockets send mixed signals on return

I think the communication is closed somewhere along the line. And Mcgrady's way of handling the situation make it obvious. At this point both parties are just looking out for their own good. Mcgrady obviously want to his spot back asap because the longer he wait while the team keep on winning the less is his opportunity. Morey more worries about his trade value and that better for the organization. Unless Morey is sure that Mcgrady going to be productive or at least look good on the court, it's better to wait because he gonna do us more harm than good when he limping up and down the court.

That's impossible the coaches preach ball movement and passing. That's the system.

Sounds entirely plausible. And sad if it's true.

 

Doesn't sound very plausible to me. Whether McGrady comes back when he says he's coming back or when Morey says he's coming back, he will play way more than enough games to prevent the Rockets from getting any insurance payout and to allow McGrady his full payment. I don't think that stuff will be in question until January or February.

 

I don't buy it. What is a week? Surely if an employer is paying someone $20+ million he'd do them the favor of waiting a week if that were the case.

This is clearly an ego trip/power play from Me-Mac.

Well, if waiting a week would cost the employee, say, $2+ million or 10 percent of his salary, he might feel differently. Of course, the employer would want the employee to take that pay hit out of some feeling of indebtedness to the company, but the employee may feel differently about the situation. He may feel entitled to the full salary: after all, he was injured on the job.

But anyway, it's pure speculation.

Question for the people who know more about practice during the regular season than me .. How can the rockets really evaluate T-mac in practice when from what i understood, they don't have many practices during the regular season except for when they get a long break like the one they just had or the one they will have later on thus the 23 november date and the next one they got is between the 5th of december and the 9 th of december . If you check the schedule , you'll see that they can't have too many practice . Anyway can someone help me out here..thanks
