That is also a excellent question to ask..some or all will be answered 2morrow. We will see who Adelman put out there.

My other question to everybody is who in your mind is starting five:

    PG Aaron Brooks
    SG T. Ariza
    SF Shane Battier
    PF Luis Scola
    C Derek Andersen

Pretty obvious and makes the most sense if T-Mac cannot go

Please post urs and the reason why

Derek Anderson is long gone and I'm not missing him a bit. I don't know what the starting five would be but I guess the rotation would be something like this:

    Andersen / Hayes
    Scola / Landry
    Ariza / Budinger
    McGrady / Battier
    Brooks / Lowry

Derek Anderson? Yeah, he was good but I doubt he would be able to play center. Btw, is he still in the NBA?

Everyone should be happy about tmac's return. The supporters just want to see him bounce back. The haters want to see his trade value boosted. Bringing him back early jeopardizes both. What's the point of tmac playing right now? A playoff spot? A championship? Let's be real.

My bad my NBA memory went to far: David Andersen but anyways Shane has a hamstring injury and I doubt it if he will miss the season opener....

We will see 2morrow what these guys like JT & Chase going to do...I'm just dissapointed that McCants didn't workout cause that was instant scoring.

Do anybody know if FSHouston will show the game??

P.S. Sorry about the player name mix up

Adelman: “I told him, ‘We have to see you push through things, not like last year,’ ” Adelman said. “He has no pain. He has to push through. He certainly makes a huge difference on the court. Then you have two guys with him and Trevor with good size. They both make plays. We’ll just have to wait and see. "

    or

Adelman: "Battier and Ariza as my starting 2 and 3? Come on, help me out guys...every year's a 'contract year' for coach"

OMG i can't wait to see T-Mac return to elite status. This Rockets team can go deep into the playoffs even without Yao and Artest. All we need is a healthy and motivated T-Mac.

The only thing I see as bad in bringing him later in the season is it will mess with chemistry etc. Bringing him in late will change everything in the line up, PT time for others, etc..

I say bring him in soon- when he can play back-to-backs w/no problem, or dont bring him in at all= Trade.

You can tell the organization is done with McGrady. Last year, he was babied and covered for in the media by Adelman and Morey because they thought he might still be back in time for a Championship run or maybe to play enough to regain his trade value before the deadline. Once he torpedoed that with his surgery announcement things changed. Once the team gave the Lakers all they could handle even without Yao then that decision to move on without him was cemented.

The Rockets seem to have 3 goals this season:

    1. Implement Adelman's offense to the point where it is instinct to the players
    2. Develop the young guys
    3. Stay in the playoff hunt

The team can do all of those things except the 3rd one better without McGrady. If he is healthy and willing to buy into the offense he will play but he can no longer hold the team hostage now that being a Championship contender is not a goal. That's why you hear stronger statements from Adelman instead of excuses.

The Rockets don't need McGrady anymore and everyone knows it.

I'll apologize to you when the Rockets re-sign McGrady after the season.

Let's see if he practices with them again today, that would be more interesting.

Maybe. If he plays the whole season without injury (never happens), if he contributes without clogging the offense (never happens) and if he doesn't r****d the development of the young guys (not likely) and if he agrees to a short deal for about half of what he is making now.

If all of those things occur I could see him coming back. Hell, if he does all of that I would welcome him back but let's not pretend he hasn't had over a decade in the league to carve out the type of player/person he is.

That's great but we need him to play for us, not practice.

    Not saying rush it though.

I am telling you, they Rockets are still counting on Yao and McGrady. They belive that Yao is gonna be back as good as he was last season and his legs problems will be over and they belive in T-Mac. Maybe that's why they want to take it so easy with him. I don't know.

Maybe Morey and Les are just afraid of the rebuilding mode.
