Its funny you noticed that b/c I've never seen Tracy being chummy with his teammates. Instead he looked shytfaced to me when they showed him on the bench.
It's still a little ambiguous. What if he plays like an all-star the last 15 games of the season, but for the rest of the season, he's below all-star caliber? Clutchfans look at the Rockets in far greater detail than the national media. In the national media's eyes, in 2008, McGrady stepped up and led the team to a 22 game win streak. The only downside is that there are large numbers of McGrady apologists who feel he can do no wrong who would skew the voting. You're talking about on paper. Ask anyone who the best player on the Pistons last year was and you'll get the same answer: Billups. Marbury was an isolated case. He wanted to play, but the team didn't want him to. His situation is irrelevant. Sounds good. How do you want to quantify it? Top 5 in MVP voting?

let's make it simple. top 6 in MVP voting. i know i'm against the odds b/c the west is stacked and usually you need a top 5-6 record in the ENTIRE league to make it into the top 7 (yao wasn't even a top 11 candidate last year). i'll give u the higher odds. but that's how confident i am in tmac returning to all-star form. but i'll roll with that. i'll donate anyways.
It's really the laughing and talking during the games that bothers me. To get a real idea of who is competitive lets compare Kobe's, Lebron's, D. Howard's and McGrady's NBA Finals stats. What about second round stats at least?
let's compare rafer's to mcgrady's. you don't cry over losses on national TV if you don't care about the game you just played. tracy has done that TWICE. you may criticize whatever he's done in the reg. season. and i agree he deserves his share, esp. last year. but the guy is as competitive as anybody in the playoffs. u don't sacrifice potential surgeries on your shoulder/knee to play in a playoff series you're not favored in.

How can you be so sure tracy is going to be an all star? I know its not from watching skillzlab. Everything Tracy says is crap. I got my money on Wekko368.
Yes, I believe Doc Rocket is in the know and was speaking the truth about it.... Do I think it is irrepairable....no, of course not. DD
That skews the results then. During the beginning of the season, the players will still be learning how to play with each other and understanding their roles.

Are you implying that people on this board are twisting words around to fit their agenda? The nerve! DD, wouldn't dare do such a thing!!! Would he?
McGrady is done as a Rocket. The only reason they're even bothering to work him back is because his trade stock is so low. He needs to prove he's over his injury and can play efficiently if anyone is to give up anything significant for him. But I'd much rather see Budinger or Taylor get his minutes so they can develop faster instead of have him lingering around and playing as dead weight.
I agree.. and I do hope he comes back to play at a high level. That way we build up his value then try to ship him out. But, to say he'll be a MVP candidate to me is far fetched.
since he wouldn't take what i offered as a bet: all-star level performance + positive impact on the team. i know the odds are against me that he'll be a top 6 MVP candidate since the team isn't going to have a top 6-7 record overall. but it's always good to donate.
