Which McGrady though? The passive scared to drive for fear of being hurt Mcgrady, or the one that realizes that the only reason he is struggling is because he is playing soft and therefore goes strong to the hole, McGrady. Which one? DD
Thing is Da, it happened on defense. He drove to the hole just fine and had no issues. This happened on the perimeter. It has nothing to do with the scenario you're talking about.
Yep, seeing him still shoot poorly and drive less is irritating. But he still attracts attention like he did a year ago and that makes all the difference. I look forward to seeing him in action tonight, I'm still waiting for him to turn that corner.
That man has the skinniest ankles I have ever seen. How do they not snap in half when he accelerates?
Well...he doesn't even remember the injury, so I really doubt that will affect his game. I mean...the thoughts don't even exist in his head at all. This is all much ado about nothing, really...there's absolutely no reason why T-Mac won't continue tonight where he left off on Saturday.
Let's hope not. Mcgrady noticed he had it going and that might be the difference. He gets motivated internally for different reasons, so lets hope that was a start. Too bad Deke had to go kung fu on him in a game he was breaking out again.
I don't think that's it. He has never had a team that has won anything. He's never been around a veteran who's won anything, or a coach. Mostly all great players had someone around them that talked to them, or mentored them, etc.... With Tmac, he's had Doc Rivers, Johnny freaking Davis, and a host of nobodies, half of which aren't even in the NBA anymore. Right now he's taking on his coach's personality and its poor.
Maybe the blow to the head will knock T-Mac back to the old T-Mac and he will regain his shooting touch.
"I had it going," said McGrady, who had seven points, three assists and three rebounds and was looking good throughout his 11 minutes. "I felt like my old self. I thought I was going to go that night." I can't wait for the game tonight.
That's it. They should just make Dikembe wear one of those inflatable "Sumo" suits for all games. It would also be a good way to "clog" up the middle on defense.
YES! That's what I like to hear, practice them free throws, practice those jump shots. I hope the practice pays off and he sees what a good day's practice can do for you in the next game. And yeah, someone needs a haircut too!
I don't mind seeing the soft one for a while if that means him being healthy and in top form for the second half of the season and the push into the playoffs. He was soft last year too, but his jumper was still lethal. Tracy's game right now is far from ideal. But trust me, if JVG had a huge problem with it, he would have addressed. I think they're on the same page and have a pact to ease him into full contact/full intensity mode. Who will remember how badly Tmac played in November if he's the Tmac of old by the All Star break? Good things are still to come. Can you imagine how much better this team can be considering Tmac is playing average basketball and our best players behind Yao and Tmac are not playing (Bonzi, Sura, Snyder). I am excited for the the rest of the season.
