just wondering what can prove you are telling the true thing. Actually, what I concern most about is not only if his back problem will be recovered, but also if he has the ability to get his back problem erased from his mind, which seems more important to if he could perform well in the court. Since he had a mind to retire after current contract so he can enjoy life with his family or go to play baseball, or whatever, I doubt if he will be recovered from the back problem, physically and mentally......
he said he would be back around mid december but they reported his recovery efforts were hampered by another injury
actually before they reported the back setback, bill worrell mentioned before a game that sura was shooting to come back the first of the year. as far as i know that remains the same, though i haven't heard anything else.
wow, i wish i had the kind of blind optimism some of you guys have. but if you look at his career, its only getting worse. t-mac never missed the kind of time he did last year. and even if he does come back in a week or so, he is going to be nothing more than a spot up shooter, and other teams will know that, and cease to double him. then will he be a playmaker? is he really worth 17 mil? and as far as him playing with fire and heart, he only did that in blowouts where he could showboat a bit, and there was tissuepaper defense being played against him. he never really turned it on like he used to. do you guys remember the old mcgrady?? he was essentially kobe without the scumbag-ness. driving to the hoop, scoring at will. that man is gone. all we got now is a liability who will be out the majority of the season. mark my words.
I agree that there is major reason for concern and it sucks and sad to see someone with such skill and ability not being able to play. We just have to wait it out and hope for the best. Let's all pray for him to get better and stay injury free. Have you watched many games? T-Mac's last 3 games before he got hurt were vintage t-mac. He attacked the basket like crazy against the Wiz, he was posting up, driving, making acrobatic shots. He did the same in the wins against the warriors and bobcats. It's really sad to see how many people have turned on him and attacking him personally for something he has no control over.
Thank god someone mentioned Snyder!!! its seems like fans are forgeting about Snyder. Don't forget that he plays a important role also!!!
The only thing that's scaring people is that this a repeat of last season right? If this is just another back spasm then it's not so bad he's had it many times before and comes back fine. If he has another similar injury in the near future, THEN we can say it's connected, but if he goes another 30 something games or whatever without a back spasm or back related injury, then it was just an ordinary back spasm he's had through his career. If he gets injured soon then it's probably connected. Only time will tell. We have to wait on it.
From what I have heard it does not seem to have anything to do with last year. Its like you said a spasm like he has had before.
I can't start new thread. Forgive me for writing here. The fomentation and other treatments taken to Tmac's back is proved only temporarily effective now. Anyone concerning Tmac's back injury can do one thing, informing Rockets' staff: Acupuncture, plus Chinese herbs or not, is the treatment capable of effecting a radical cure of sufferings like back spasm. Please don't hesitate to try it. Anyone concerning can visit an acupuncture physician to affirm it, such as HAI-SHA NI Chinese Traditional Medical Association 3149 North Courtenay Parkway Merritt Island, FL 32953 FAX : 321-454-9974 http://www.hantang.com/ I wrote a letter to fanear@rocketball.com several days ago, but no response up to now.
hey, anything is worth a shot...clutchfans should send a letter to the rockets org. informing them about this.
Good job sending the letter, we should get Clutch or someone who is more connected with the Rockets to ask them to look into acupuncture or other Chinese treatments for T-Mac's back. Trying it couldn't hurt, we should find someway to band together and suggest it.
Any body here ever read Hakeem's living the Dream book? He credited acupuncture being what healed his back after all the western medical treatments failed. McGrady needs to see that acupuncturist that gave Dream back to Houston. Also some stuff I remember from the book were how he dealt with officiating. They were bias against him too, and other players do play dirty against him like they do against Yao. Some of the steps he took to overcome that can very well be applied to Yao. There's a lot these young Rockets can learn from the legend.
