I didn't know his injury problems were because of driving to the basket.

How typically classless. All the people accusing McGrady of faking his injury are now silent. No one has the guts to step up and say, "Gee, I guess I was wrong. He really does have a serious injury, that is causing him to miss games."

Some of you guys need to man up and admit you were wrong. Show some stones for God's sakes.

Every one of them, directly related, no, but I don't believe I blew anything out of proportion saying he can't stay healthy driving to the lane. He left the court last time after driving the lane and landing on his injured knee. He is fragile, slim build, 11 years in the league, lot's of time driving into the lane, wear and tear, etc. It is just my opinion.

This was less about this particular injury and more about the legacy of quitting, whining and exaggerating that McGrady has created for himself.

This latest injury that was discovered doesn't change my opinion of the guy unless someone can show me that he has been playing with the injury for 10 years and that the pain was so bad it made him say stupid things to the media too.

If he's that bad off we need to get rid of him. I don't buy what you are saying at all. Jumping, landing, stopping, starting and cutting are a constant part of NBA action. Tracy is a finesse player who lacks toughness and takes the easy way out too many times for his team's good. He just doesn't want to get hit on his arms, shoulders and head because he hates contact. I'm not asking him to be D-Wade and try to slam dunk it every time. He should be like Kobe or PP or Maggette and force people to stop him instead of stopping himself 20 feet away from the basket and bailing out the defense.

For the record, I haven't blasted him over this latest injury. For me, Tracy's play and attitude on the court is the issue.

Those are not valid points in this case. T-Mac tried to play hurt and it didn’t help, and he wasn’t his normal self (it was quite obvious). It’s silly to accuse someone of quitting when they are trying to play injured…..

It’s not that hard to man up when test results show that he is actually injured.

Just because the paper says he is hurt doesn't mean he is really hurt. I am not saying he is or isn't hurt, but the paper is wrong often. The truth is hardly ever out there.

Yeah, right. So all the people who called him a p***y because he wouldn't play with a "bone bruise," were actually just referring to his "legacy." Sorry, that's BS.

Are you kidding me? Players should be judged the most based on performance at the highest level of competition, and Tracy has been nothing but spectacular for the Rockets in the playoffs. He literally put the team on his back in the Mavs and Jazz series, and you say he doesn't even show up for big games. Please.

Still in denial huh? You really think the Chronicle would deliberately fabricate a story about a specialized MRI showing that Tracy has a damaged tendon in his knee?
