If Tmac can stay healthy I'll be happy.

But even better if he gets 25/6/6 :)
I think that is very possible, and it might even be possible he might average more than 25 points, possibly 26-27 point range. But we can't be too sure.....
Its kinda weird seeing him only average 4.7 assists, he should have more except rafer airballs and banks his shot for what its worth, and Shane is also kinda off this year.

After reading this article, I'm ecstatic to hear that TMac may be more aggressive this year. This is the TMac of old that I fell in love with. So psyched!

I feel that at this point, RA understands TMac's strengths much better than he understands Yao's. Ideally, I would love to see both our stars clicking in the RA system. Just give them more time.

Some nights you'll wonder if our stars were immortal. Other nights, you'll wonder why they haven't been on the trade block. That's just the nature of the game. Let's get things clear, there's no reason to hate.

    Agree.

First of all, Tracy is healthly. Do you remember his start of last yeason. He tought he was healthly - he wasn't.

But when you look at his game it looks like he has never had that injury. Damn, he looks like we wants to dunk EVERYTHIN'. Really. He's not scared of dunks, he's not scared of attackin' the backet even with defenders. That's why he is great this season.

And his shoot is on. He feels it again.

You know, when you make several baskets inside, easy baskets that this offense gives Tracy, it just gives you confodence. And than you can make simply every shoot.

The RA point is exactly true, he's never had a center like Yao before. He just needs some time to alter his offense in order to better accommodate Mr. Yao.

See, thats the beauty of having two superstars on hte same team. If one falls, the other one picks the team up. But for some reason, if Tmac is having a bad day, the team usually collapses along with him more often than if Yao does (have a bad game)

this is t-mac's team. always was and always will be because hes simply our best player. yao is t-mac's support moreso than t-mac is yao's support. think about that ;)

All I know is he was definitely able to go around the Jazz players A LOT easier than he did in last year's playoff series, where guys like Giricek were able to stay in front of him.

Again, where were you when McGrady was talking of retiring and playing baseball and it was clearly Yao's team? Things can and do change quickly.

Anyway, about McGrady's shot selection, it hasn't changed. 82games has gotten their act together and now I have the proof I promised.

    http://www.82games.com/0708/07HOU5A.HTM

80% jump shots, 20% close shots. Exactly the same as last year. His shot selection hasn't changed, and the jumpers run hot and cold, as we saw on Saturday. He'll come back down to where we are used to. He was very hot the first two games but it won't stay that way.

Do those stats that show shot attempts on each spot on the floor account for attempted shots in which he was fouled on? If not, then that is a huge deterant to what T-Mac has done this year, shooting over 10FTA's in each of his first 2 games. For comparison's sake, he only had 4 games of 10FTA or more through December last season.

T-Mac's shot selection has been different. Instead of operating primarily from straightaway 25+ feet out off a pick and roll, he has been used coming off ball around screen on the elbow and on iso's on the wing, just like in Orlando. With better floor spacing and better positioning by T-Mac himself, he has had far better angles to get open looks and drive to the rim. Thus he has been a much tougher guard this season as he simply has been given more room to operate. He has used pump fakes, pivot moves and ball fakes much more this year due to iso situations on the wing, and thus he has had more space on jumpers.

Oh, and I notice you keep saying crap about him going 8-25 to degrade him as a player...so what? Kobe Bryant last season, the concensus best player in the league, had 19 different games in which he shot 38% or lower... T-Mac had 21. Considering T-Mac was very unhealthy last season and about 10-15 pounds overweight, along with the fact he had an insane burden of running the offense with some of the worst floor spacing in the league (hence why he led league in usage rating)...well, you get the point. Arenas, Iverson, Pierce, even Melo and Bron...they all have a very good amount of games where they shoot poorly. It is to be expected from such explosive perimeter scorers.

12 ft attempts first game, 14 ft attempts 2nd game. and that's to start a year.

oops, 82games. does not tell where he's fouled. oh your theory is wasted.

he does not like tracy. he makes it seem like the first 2 games were just lucky--only has them b/c he's hot.

i have not seen one compliment of tracy's performance so far.

kobe shot 13-32 and 6-15 to start the yr and then a 13-19 night. they're SHOOTING GUARDS. they'll shoot. sometimes bad, sometimes good. this yr, tmac will shoot well more often than not b/c of hte offense

Oops, 13.6% fouls drawn on shots this year, 12.7% last year. That .9% difference is world breaking.

Abort, Retry or Fail? I think you fail.

actually it is. in a game where there are a ton of possessions, yes it does. a guy that shoots 43% to a guy that shoots 41% is a huge difference in a basketball game.

and also can u find me the % that tmac runs the pick and roll this yr? can u find out how many screens he runs through this yr? can u find out how many isos he runs this yr?

    watch teh game please.

If NBA.com Hotzones has their act together, I'd be able to disprove this too. But they don't, so I'll have to settle for 82games.

again, answer me how many pick and rolls have tmac ran so far this yr compared to last yr?

that answer alone would refute any statement u made.

Yep, .9 FT extra per 100 shots is world breaking. That means an extra free throw once every 4-5 games. OMG I am floored. Not.

If NBA.com HotZones had their act together I could prove you wrong once and for all. But they don't, so I'll have to settle for 82games.

I'm watching the games with my own eyes. You're watching them through rose-colored goggles, seeing only what you want to see.
